Won a trip to florida

I was scammed by these people telling me I won a free trip. 398 dollars.

  I recently was at a boat show and had the same thing happen. Like you, I was framed based on that. Have you received any actual trips or is this 100% a scam? Thank you for your help,

I recently attended a boat show with my family and I entered a drawing for a free vacation giveaway ( 7 days, 6 nights in Orlando Florida)with Universal Studios.  The vendor is a well known facility in TN.  So, the following week, I received a phone call from 1-888-801-5233 asking if we enjoyed the boat show and that we'd won the trip from the contest that we'd entered that day.  All they needed was $398.00 dollars to pay for the taxes.  The guys name was John.  He then took my information and transferred me to Debbie, The "Manager."  He then gave me another number 1-954-495-2813, ext 1005.  I then came across this site.  I feel very badly for giving my information...But thought I had merit due to the reason that I entered the contest at a family outing...and John was very aware of it...At least he and Debbie led me to believe so...It's very unfortunate that entering to win a family vacation at a family outing would end up the way it did.  Everyone, please be aware.

Did you get your money back??? Or was the trip true??

I did, sadly, get scammed, at the Southdale Mall in MN.
I did a little research immediately after handing up, and here's what I've figured out:

<<Using the Caller ID # from Jan 7, 2010>> = 952-495-2813 is tied to a landline residing in TWIN CITIES, MN as per (http://www.whitepages.com/search/ReversePhone?full_phone=952-495-2813). The number remains unpublished.

<<Using similar search terms>> = An identical scam has been run on the phone number 954-237-8087. The identical scam (Via http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/9542378087) is linked to three individuals: two women and one man. The number is traced to a landline in HOLLYWOOD, FL as per (http://www.whitepages.com/search/ReversePhone?full_phone=9542378087). The number remains unpublished.

When comparing both numbers used,
954-237-8087 : July-December
952-495-2813 : September-October, January

They called and said we won a free trip to Florida!when they asked my friend for a credit information we decided to do some searching!PS. now they use an existence travel agency named Specialty travel!

got a call from this number saying I won a trip to Universal Studios.  After requesting credit card information for me to pay the taxes up front on the trip,  I knew it was a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They wouldn't give me a website for their travel agency/promotional company.  So after I refused to give them my credit card info.  on the spot, they told me I would lose the trip.   So  to anyone that did give their information out.  I am sorry.  but, you were scammed..

Do you live in indiana? I got a call from there too. They said I won a trip to disneyworld. I haven't called back. I'm very leery of scams of course.
