I did receive the same call.  I had my lawyer to call that number and whoever answered refused to give him any information related to the company.  I did call as my lawyer instructed me, and they said that they were United Recovery Services.  I told Mrs. Miller that United Recovery Services has absolutely nothing to do with them.  I asked her to send me a written explanation of the debt coming from my debtor, because I had my bank records and my credit report and there were absolutely no debt of a payday loan back six years ago.  She said they were going to mail it to me, but they never did.  DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS TO THIS COMPANY, the URS representative confirmed to me that they are faxe and do not have any relationship with them.

I as well received a call similar to Blair Dennison's case. I advised them I would not pay them any money until I received something in the mail. Sarah Williams who at first represented herself as a lawyer refused to send me anything in the mail saying that I would only get something after I paid them $555.00. I told them they are strangers and they were saying the debt was from 2005, 6 years ago. I told her by law I am allowed the right to see something in writing. Also a man called acting all tough and left me a message saying he has stopped by my house several times to serve me. I had been home all day so I know that was a flat out lie. I told Sarah, why would I pay complete stranger's refusing to give me any information money when I have someone calling and lieing to me. I told her they were no longer allowed to contact me or it would be harrassment and she hung up on me. I too am reporting this to the FTC.

I did receive the same call about a week ago. At first I received a call at my office from a guy saying that he was looking for me to get me to court for a bad check.  He gave me this number 888-822-1250 along with a case number.  I did call and talked with a lady and she had all my personal information, and finally told me that they were looking for me for a payday loan I did not pay back in 2007,  when I was living out of USA.  They did not want to give me any information in writting and kept saying that I was going to receive a summons from my creditor.  I reported the case to the FTC.

Yes and was wanting to collect a debt that I am unaware of.  I asked for a mailing address and they would not give it to me cause they have families and the work that they do they don't want to be located.  They will only take credit cards and no checks and I can't even mail my payment in.  Most collection agencies usually have P.O. Box so you can mail payments to.  Researched the number and nothing comes up and when you call the number you have reached United.
