I filed the online complaint and received a response from the CFPB in an hour and a response that this company sent in response 3 days later. They denied making the threats but I have two voice mail recordings they left at my office. I filed a complaint with my State Attorney Generals office yesterday along with a copy of both recorded voice mails. This company is breaking the law.  The CFPB has now opened an investigation on them. This kind of illegal collecting must be stopped.

These people have called my family members my place of work they debited two payments out of my account ...one called my sister claiming it was a department investigator and calles her husbands cell phone . They try multiple area codes and when I called them and told them I filed a complaint with the attorney general they said " maam that has nothing to do with us" I have requested my bank statements to see what is going on . Just got a call from these guys and now they are calling my husband.  They are calling for someone else but wanted to know about the whereabouts of the person.  The number is 646-626-7498 and my husband said he received a call from a 631 area code.  When I was originally called, it was an 888-839-1751 number and they said that their name is Consolidated and that they have third-party vendors that they hire to track folks down with claims.  I never owe anything to anybody and I always pay my bill on time.  These guys can be quite aggressive.  I am going to call the FTC and/or the Attorney General.

I have also filed complaints with State Attorney General, FTC and CFC. They are breaking both state and federal laws with their phone calls.

Please call or file an online complaint with your state attorney general's office and the Federal trade commission and the Consumer Financial Commission about this company called  Consolidated at 1-888-839-1751. They are breaking federal and state law with their phone calls and threats. The federal law states that they can never call an employer looking for you again after you VERBALLY tell them not to. They have broken the federal law and I am not backing down. They also MUST provide you proof that you owe the debt and they have refused to do this also. This is also against federal law. On 19 Feb 14, I received a call from 405-562-8789 who said he needed to verify my address so a claim could be served on me.  When I told him I knew nothing about this, he told me to call 888-839-1751 with a claim number he provided.  Curious, yet very skeptical, I called and was told I owed $500 from a loan I had taken out on 13 Feb 13 and was responsible. The next day the same guy that called first called me again trying to verify my address to serve the claim. He tried to make me think he was only a few miles away, yet I learned later he was on a land line in another state.  Today I heard from him again, but this time the number I was told to call was 877-585-3978 about a different claim number. I didn't call, but need to call the Federal Trade Commission or my state Attorney General. This has to stop.

I received a call from 713-469-4903 from a lady name Biehunko and said she was serving papers and I told her to come on and I will have security waiting on her I have just filed a complaint with the Attorney General Office and my Attorney is getting ready to do a letter this makes no sense in people calling on jobs well I got news from them I know a lot of people in higher places and they call the wrong person I have everyone I know working on this I even know where they are located.

Wow.  Me and my family have been getting the same call as you guys too!  For the past 2 days we have been getting phone calls from 254 221-1083, (828)305-7052  telling us to call 888 839-1751.  The guy says that there is a claim against someone and they have to call the 888 number.  Very irritating voice!!!!!!!

I was called at work and they left a message to call 888-839-1751 and gave a case number. When I called they said I was going to be served paper and arrested for a debt of $379.00. They would not tell me who they claimed that I owed but demanded  give them a card number to pay NOW! I told them not to call me at work ever again per the federal law. Now they call my home leaving the same rude messages. I have filed a claim with my States attorney generals office. This company is BOGUS do not give them information. They even threatened my terminally ill wife on the phone. SICK PEOPLE

I got the exact message and phone number to call that Jennifer received except he stated his name was Greg Sharp.. called from 318-309-4556. He told me to call 1-888-839-1751 and said that I had been officially notified. ??? What/Who is this??

Was asked for my address and the person identified himself as Nate Johnson. He asked me if I knew about a claim filed against me and also asked if I was lying. He called from a number 928-637-6397. When I called this number back the message said this is an Investigation department and could not be called back. He gave me 888-839-1751 to ask questions about the claim filed against me and he told me I was officially notified.

I just received a call from 713-469-4903 at 11:00am, and she said her name was Veronica Day and demanded I give her my address to serve me with documents.  I asked I don't know who you are and I will not give out my address or any information to someone that calls to demand anything of such.  I asked her I did not know what she was calling about and I did not appreciate her demands. She then said I needed to call 888-839-1751, and gave me a claim number.  she said she was a locator and the documents are sealed and she doesn't know what they are.  How shady!  This is harassment and far beyond legal.  I called the local police department and asked if this is legit and they told me to report the numbers to Federal Trade Commission.  

This number has called every family member I have and even my former spouse, telling them they are going to serve me with court papers unless I pay them some ridiculous amount of money. When I called and asked them to send me verfication of the debt, they tell me they need my credit card number to charge me $149 for court documents. LOL!  I wish I knew how to stop these calls, I don't owe them anything and this is a total SCAM.  and who calls you before they are going to serve you with court documents...OMG it is a shame things like this can go on and the amount of info that can be found out about a person on the internet to make their life miserable. Beware of these professional SCAMMERS.  

Out of the blue yesterday morning the first phone call was made to a friend of mine and she was told "they are looking for me to provide me with documents." The calls the proceeded with other friends and relatives and then they finally called me at 4:26 p.m. Wouldn't they start with me then move on to friends and family?? The man identified himself as "Steven Powers" and that call actually came from a phone line with a local area code number. Mr. Steven Powers then instructed me to call the toll free number and also provided me a claim number to give them. The guy at the toll free number was EXTREMELY rude and demanded I make a payment by credit card that very moment or else I would be served. He claimed they represent a creditor that I did in fact once do business with but fulfilled my obligation. He insisted that I hadn't and have a balance of over $400.00, again wanting a payment right then. There was one thing that really tipped me off while he was trying to gather personal information. He mentioned my employer in which I told him if he really was who he was claiming to be then he would know I've not worked for that employer for almost a year now. Be aware and alert. DO NOT give any personal or financial information to them.

A man called me at work stating that papers were en route to be served to me unless I called this 888 number. I called and was informed that I owed a past debt and had to pay the full amount unless I wanted to be served court papers. This is all a bunch of crap. They tried this same scam on me a year ago. No one is going to call and warn you that you are about to be served! Be aware of this scam and do NOT give out any financial info to them no matter what they say!

Beware, I keep getting calls from an 832 area code with messages to call this consolidated firm. No info can be found and they claim to be an attorney. I am having my buddy in the attorney generals office look into this. Beware no credentials can be found. They want money or personal info. The rep at the company asked for my social to find me.
