I receive these calls constantly.  Today it was "in accordance with US Title Code 15 you have 24 hours to contact our office."  I won't be contacting them.  If they want to prosecute me under that title code I wish them luck.  These people hey always say they are on their way to serve you, one person called at 5am on a Saturday morning saying he would be at my house in 10 minutes unless I made arrangements with the company he represented.  I told him to come on by and he never showed up...they never do.  They will harass the hell out of you and everyone else but they don't actually do anything.  Once they figure out that you won't be scammed they move on to the next person.  Don't give them any information.  Always ask them for their company name and mailing address.  A legitimate company will always provide that willingly...these scammers will not tell you anything.  Don't let them scare you!!!

This number collects debts for Eagle Loan Company Of Ohio, Inc. Even if you paid the loan back, they will continue to try to recollect from you if you let them. Keep all emails and correspondence, and it will go away. I sent a confirmation email that this account was paid off in 2009, and I reported Eagle to the BBB. I spoke to Hank Schmidt, but he was very nice when I told him that Eagle had already collected this debt and I had proof to send to him. Just an FYI...

they called left a message about us code title 15  (standards and fair trades).  so respectfully i called  to investigate and settle the matter. i got as far as asking who the company was or represented and  immediately got hung up on. so i called back  same guy answered  and hung up on me. i called back and said i will call back every 5 mins like you call me. this time the guy went psycho,  yelling over phone that he will have at&t reverse all charges to my number etc.. i kept saying ok do that but first tell me who this is and what you contacted me for. he hung up. (lol)  called back different guy answered. i asked immediately before anything else if he could take me off calling list. he said ok who is this. i repeated my phone number. he asked who is this? i gave him my number again. then he asked if i was "so and so". which i was but, i hung up :)

"Hank Schmidt" of RHA services calling to speak to C_____  S______ of Wayne County.  You are a 'person of interest' in an open case # PCP1311... or so the call went.  First these idiots expect everyone else to do their work for them.  They are using ancient information, leave threatening messages - "this call will serve as a _____ for all legal actions of record..."  So, I turned the tables on them and left a few calls, open-ended.  The truth is, if this happens to you and they attempt to follow thru and show up at your door, whether or not you are the person they are seeking, call 9-1-1 immediately.  They are a threat to anyone's way of life, even to themselves.  Ridiculous.  And for the record, my language is clean compared to the threatening tone of theirs.

This company is calling multiple family members stating that there is an ongoing investigation on my daughter.  This is a bogas claim and I feel they are trying to extort money.
How do you stop these harrassing phone calls to our family.  If that is the case, how come the party in question has not been contacted at any point or time???

RHA Servicing (888-841-0404) called and left a message on my cell phone.  Hank Schmidt stated that (persons name) was a person of interest in case ##### and failure to return his call in 24 hours would lead to a summons to be issued at home or place of employment.  The person he referenced  use to have my cell number 5+ years ago.  I have received numerous debt collector and legal calls for this person.   I returned the call and asked for Hank Schmidt.  I was asked who was calling and I stated the person at the number Hank called and left a msg for ****** *********.  He asked me 2 more times and I said the same thing being reluctant to give my name.  He then hung up on me.   I then called back and he refused to connect me to Hank Schmidt nor his voicemail.  I stated that I have been called many times for this particular person and this particular person does not own this nbr any more.  I stated that if I continue to get called I will report this number for harrasment.  He proceded to yell at me give me some fictious Badge number and then hung up on me again.   I called back a third time and he continued to be beligerant and said he would take care of removing my number.   Well see, but if it was such a important legal issue and he was some type of officer that he was trying to imply he was completely unhinged when I would not provide my name.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I to received a phone call saying I would be served within 2 hours at my place of employment, he said his name was Fred Davis and that he was an independent process server working for Legal Services.  He then asked me if I knew who was serving me I said no he said "damn" and that he would give me 24 hours to call this number and find out.  He did call back after 24 hours when I started asking him questions he sounded frustrated and told he would see me in 2hours.  I called the number he gave me, they know the last 4 of my social and said the were calling my local county court to stop the filing process if I made payment arrangements.  Everyone here puts them down as RJ services and they identified themselves as Legal Services to me.  After reading this I feel really DUMB because I am confused as if they are legit or not.  My gut feeling after reading these posts is I just got scammed, but they do scare you.  He said they were filing the complaint as defrauding a business.

Hay all, I got a call today and this debt was not for me. These people are breaking the law. they are breaking the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), §809 and  other violations of the FDCPA, §807 ? False or misleading representations and §808 ? Unfair practices. I think that when they call me tomorrow I am gong to file a bbb dispute because they are causing a debt by calling me on my cell. oh yea by the way it's not my debt. and they have broken the law by giving me someone else's private information.I could now steal their information. just saying don't talk to these people. they can not take  charge you with fraud for a check loan.

A female called my home and left a message for a family member using the family member's maiden name saying she was an investigator from the "Fraud Division". I called the telephone number asking for the female along with indicating the "case number" the female identified as a "possible fraud case" A male caller answered the phone identifying himself as the female callers' supervisor. After I gave him the case number he said the call was in reference to a bad check.  I told him the person did not live at my residence and to remove my number from their company's call list. I asked the man to identify the Law Enforcement Agency I was calling since they identified themselves as Fraud Investigators!  The man became irate and very disrespectful; he refused to give me any information! He said he was a very busy man and he did not have time to converse any further; he hung up! WOW, my verbal Judo worked! If this was a legitimate collection agency that information would have been provided without hesitation simply because they are trying to collect a debt. These people must be scammers?

And you read how they do people there no better then the payday lenders with there high interest rates and the payday lenders did wrong when they started be sneeky and under hand by by being on internet offer out loans that should to some people in some states and now you got collection agency out buying illegal loan debts tryin to get paid.  But when you do tàlk to those bill collectors try to you look bad and they are scaming people over real old debts or over illegal debts so you can be scared if want but check out stuff before u pay.
