I just received a postcard in the mail from "Package Services" in Whitehouse, Texas telling me to call and schedule a pickup for a package. The number they tell you to call is 888-845-8768. Because of the looks of this postcard and the fact that nobody in my home has ordered a package it's pretty obvious that this is some sort of SCAM. Don't call this place and do not give out any personal information to them! According to stuff I've found when googling the phone number is seems that this is an old, known scam.

SCAM ALERT LINK: http://westernmichigan.bbb.org/article/consum ... 8again%29-23951

Ken Vander Meeden, local BBB President stated:

?This is another shameless attempt by the same company with a slightly different name to sell travel packages or whatever. Sending a postcard in the holiday season to schedule a pickup certainly implies a holiday package was sent and not delivered. It preys on busy people familiar with notices being left in the mail re actual holiday deliveries. Once again, the BBB warns all consumers to the extra careful with this deceptive offer under any name used.?

Received a card in mail to call toll free number to schedule pick-up of package.  The post cards return address was Package Services, P.O. Box 820, Whitehouse, TX 75791

Must be scam as have not ordered anything.  The card included a package number and tracking number that both must be bogus

This is a vacation/travel scam, if you call back then :

You have verified your name, address and probably your phone # so you will get a TON of spam.

Also in FL and received the green scam package pickup notice on July 18. Do not call the phone number on the card. If you do, you will just validate for them a real address received their stupid card. Be alert, there is NO identification about them except an address: Package Services, P. O. Box 820, Whitehouse, TX 75791. This is NOT FEDEX, UPS or USPS. They try to make you think it is something similar and official. Everyone loves to receive packages so they prey on your love to receive packages.
