Bastards keep calling my cell phone several times a week after I told them to remove my number from their database the first time.  Now, I ignore all calls from 8xx area codes.

Caller asked if she could speak to my wife.  I said, no, and what is this call about.  She said "it's just a courtesy call" and I said from who, I need a name to make a report. She asked if I am on a no-call list and promised to take me off the computer.  I bet.

I received a call from this phone number claiming to represent Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl.  The guy (I'll call Jim) claimed that AOL provided him my name and phone number and that I "won" a free trip to Universal Studio and wanted to give me all the details along with a confirmation number.  When asked what it would cost me, Jim stated that it was absolutely free and I only had to pay the tax for the trip since it was required by Federal Law to collect the tax.  All he needed was my credit card number etc.  I informed Jim that I worked for Federal Law Enforcement and I know that AOL does not provide personal data for any reason to "vendors".  Him assured me that he got my name and phone number from AOL.  I informed Jim that was going to contact AOL and Universal Studios re the phone call.  He hung up.

I called back one day to tell them to take my number off their list, the woman answered and they have kept calling back since.  I called today and a woman answered "Promotions" and the person hung up on me before I even got to say "I'm registered on the do not call list".  I called back and got some voicemail system that listed a different name and I left a very unpleasant message demanding that they don't remove my number I will be reporting them.  Let's see if that one works.

I received a call from 888-850-2929 saying I was going to FL.  The gentleman knew my name, address and email address.  He said I entered something through my internet provider.  That is bogus so I played along.  I asked if I won something, how much was it going to cost since he said he was going to give me a $500 airline voucher.  He said I didn't win anything that I was just drawn to take a vacation.  He tried to go into detail about how I would spend 4 nights in Orlando and then 4 nights in Daytona.  I finally got tired of listening to his b.s. so hung up on him.  They actually have a website affiliated with the number.  I sure don't trust them as the gentleman told me he was from Universal Studios but the website does not specify that at all.  Fraud.

Received a call from this phone number stating that I "won" some free trips to disney world and somewhere else when I signed up for a raffle.  The raffle was for twins merchandise and tickets, nothing for a trip.  I told the guy if I won something, mail the information to me.  He couldn't do that.  My sister got the same call and they guy wanted her credit card number.  He stated that it was to provide to the hotels for her free trips because she had to pay the room tax.  Thankfully, she never provided him with the information. Who knows what would have happened.  You can't trust anyone who calls for this type of thing and can't mail anything to you.
