A woman named Ellen called asking for my son. When I asked her where she was calling from she said it was confidential and could only speak to my son and where could she reach him. I told her I needed to know where she was calling from and in regards to what when she said FEDERAL LAWS PROHIBITED HER FROM GIVING ME THAT INFORMATION.  My call was being recorded to verify that I would contact my son and pass along the phone number with the message that it was imperative and urgent that he contact her. If he wanted he could give her permission to call me back and she would then tell me what she needed to tell him. She repeated several times that it was urgent.  I receive calls from this number often and it comes up on caller ID as UNKNOWN or TOLL FREE CALL. I have asked to have our number removed several times since our son doesn't live here. I have been told that it would be, but apparently they don't understand the request.

I have received several phone messages, telling me that "they" must speak with me about an urgent matter.  The first phone message said that they got my name and number from the phone book!  I did a google search on this number and found out it belongs to Encore RMI, a debt collection agency based in Kansas.  After getting numerous messages asking me to call this number, I finally did, just to ask them to quit calling.  I was told that they were trying to collect a debt from someone, and they thought that I might be related to the person who owed the debt.  This is an absolutely ridiculous claim, since they also admit that they just pulled my name and number out of the phone book.  I have asked them to quit calling, but who knows if they will?

A gal by the name of Marlene Pruit keeps calling and leaving a message on my cell voicemail(even after hearing my personal message on my voicemail) for a Rick Scott and refer to ref# 10501207.

I get calls three times a week.

They called my main business line and left a blank message. I later called back from another phone # and the guy recited back the number I was calling from. "Yeah, that is the number I am calling from and what does that have to do with anything?" I asked. I proceeded like calling the wrong number and kept asking who he was and he said "Encore." I said, "are you a solicitor?" and he replied "no" but offered no further details as to his call.

I do get a lot of solicitation/collection calls for other people and businesses event though I have had the main number for ten years but it goes on and on. I have began forwarding calls to a cell phone with a reject list that goes right to VM. This number was added to that reject list!

We have been getting tons of calls, but only one message on our machine, just asking someone with our old business to call back.  Finally, after several calls and no messages over this long holiday weekend, I finally answered out of curiosity.  It was Encore about an Office Depot account, the lady was very nice and I explained we have not been in business for 3 years, the account apparently was opened last year and had a balance of $800.00.  I know that we paid everything in full, usually with cash and never had an account with Office Depot.  So it has to be a scam of some sort....hopefully they do not call back.  We'll see.

Got a similar call today on behalf of Office Depot.  Our account was paid off & closed over two years ago.  Think this company must be purchasing these debt collections & not getting updates from Office Depot that these were settled.

ENCORE called my cell telling me I owed a debt to Office Depot. This was an account that had been settled and closed over a year ago with my old business.The call came from a woman that sounded like she was in a crowded restaurant or something. I got disconnected called them back and got the answer machine of encore management. I don't know how they got my new phone number in a different state with a different business. It is scary. How I am able to stop this people?

The only problem with that is I didnt even know his cell phone number to give it out. They also wouldnt give there company name. They then asked for my girlfriends number but didnt know her last name. can you say scam

I've received several phone messages from this company.  The very first message stated that they found my name and number in the local phone book, but they never said why they were calling.  According to my google search, they are some sort of collection agency.  After getting several messages from this company, with the messages getting more threatening, I finally broke down and called them.  They claimed that someone at my phone number was related to someone who owed a debt and they were trying to get in touch with the person who owed the debt.  Ridiculous claim!!  Since they found my name and number in a phone book, how could they possibly know who I'm related to?!?  I told them that I was in no way related to whom they were looking for, and I asked them to remove my number from their call list.  We'll see what happens...

Do anyone knows what is going on? Im getting the same thing?

Guy by the name of Garren Saline calling about a claim filed filed in his office, Encore. 888-881-4966...Do they really think that were that stupid. Garren if your reading this leave us alone. I'm just going to have to get your number and call you day and night. What you think about that.

Called by a Bobby about a company that was owned by my great grandfather.  Unsure how they have my contact info.  It used to be Encore calling but this is just pissing me off.  -_-

This so called Comapany ENCORE, continues to call here all day and night, when the call comes in it shows on caller ID as unknown name unknowm number, it will ring 3 times so that no message is ever left if you do break your neck to answer they hang up, if by some chance you do speak to some one and you advise them to stop calling they continue. But the topper, Our Attorney advised us to give his name and number to any collectors to help stop the calls, upon attempting to give this information during a call that was returned to them, they are rude ask questions that are not their business and continue to want to argue and harrass. How do these low lifes sleep at night with one eye open? You know it would be a different story if the entire USA was'nt suffering from gas prices too high, can't afford food and medical and people can't pay their bills, but too also have to deal with these a***oles. I am contacting the Attorney Generals office as I know even though I was advised by some smart a** named Jade that she knows the laws better than I, they are not following the fair debt laws and their company needs to be shut down.

"I am mr jackson. this message in regards to Corey Hoak. someone to return call immediately. Its going to be about reference to documents filed and processed in my office. if anyone pretending to be part of this business, it's imperative that someone would call me as soon as possible. My number is, I can be reached at 1-888-881-4966."

A Rick Wolten called my sister house saying she was on my list of emergency contacts. He demanded to get my phone number from her but refused to tell her who he was, what the emergency was or what company he was calling from.

They called an leave a mmsge for one person of our office (it's a business #). The person was in vacation and some other call back at this phone# and ask for the reference # that they give in his previous mssge.
The person answer that Miss Hernandez is handling this call, and we need to call back in our hour. They didn't explain what is this about...
