These idiots call me in the White House. Even worse they call me on the "secret" phone. You know, the "secret" phone that Marilyn used to call JFK? I don't even touch that phone because it's in the bathroom (white people are gross). I will have the Secret Service give these morons a call and I'll have the IRS audit them.

Nadie está obligado a escuchar su perorata estúpida y no tiene el derecho de pedir que to.It 's no en lo que es más fácil para usted. Usted no es el pagar la cuenta de los teléfonos que llama.

And just because I was being a b****ead because I think you're being a jerk, here's the translation:

Nobody is obligated to listen to your stupid spiel and you do not have the right to ask them to.It's not about what's easiest for you. You are not the one footing the bill for the phones you are calling.

Lets do a little dissection on this gentle contributors commentary:

"I bet you screamed at them you are in a contract and slammed the phone down rather than letting them talk.  We get that a lot calling people when it would be so much easier if you would just let us rebut you once about your credit card contract."

I bet you never considered how intrusive, unsolicited and unnecessary your calls are.  Bet you didn't realize that the person you're annoying has no reason or justification to engage or debate with you whether they are in a contract or not.  Its actually none of your 'effen business!  We're sorry to inconvenience you by being unwilling and unwanting to take your calls.  How dare you think the message you want to convey is so important that we should stop whatever it is we are doing (most likely sleeping based on some of the posts here) and pause to listen to a bunch of horse shite about how you and your company are going to save us billions. Perhaps you should leave your home or cell number so we can call you and tell you about whatever important message we would like to pass on to you!

"You have no idea what it is like to have all your calls monitored daily and constantly be subjected to "scoldings" for not asking questions when a customer says I'm in a contract.  The best part is the fact you are probably the one person we have talked with in almost thirty minutes.  The rest of our calls have been dropped or been to Chinese or Spanish people who don't speak any English.  By that point, we are so desperate to talk with anyone that we will grasp at any opportunity."

You're right, I have no idea, nor care even in the slightest about the working conditions you have to endure to eek out a living by wasting my time and raising my blood pressure just so you can fulfill a quota and avoid a "scolding" based on some asinine policy.  The worst part is the fact that you are probably the three-hundreth, unsolicited cold call I've had to deal with this week and am highly offended that I'm making your day by wasting a moment of my time to engage you in a potential transaction which is doomed to fail based on the poor marketing plan, spoofed caller-id, vague references to who and what you are and the fact that you cold called me in the first place.

So, don't like Chinese or Spanish speaking people ay? Guess their money isn't good enough and their language so incomprehensible that your organization can't afford to hire people who speak these languages. If your so desperate to talk with anyone, why not these people?  Better yet, why not an employment councilor or college admission office.  Are you that pathetic that you actually are comforted and benefit from a negative reaction from an absolute stranger?  Ridiculous!

"If we talked to one of your employees and got a bunch of information from them, we now know who you are and that you are the person to talk with.  It means that we will be calling you non-stop for the next few days unless we can't reach you.  Then, the calling will stop for a time, but it will start back up again soon.  Best advice is when they call again, say that you are closing down the business and you'll be done with them."

If I understand right, you are calling, harassing and wasting my employees time but attempting to glean information about the company and its principles?  You are wasting our resources? i.e. employee's prodctivity, our bandwidth being wasted by your useless call, computer resources... How do you know the information you receive from these valuable employees is accurate?  My employees actually provide a fictitious name and phone number that routes to a voice mailbox that has never been checked and rings nowhere in the office.  Further, you admit that a failed contact with your person of interest will result in repeated calls?  Incredible!  Sort of like, if your spouse says no the first time, you interpret that to simply mean not yet yes!

Gee, thanks for your well-conceived advice on how to deal with this company and the many thousands of other copy-cat ones like it.  We will just lie and say we're shutting down to get you to stop.  Your organization is that important and that much of an influence on our business that we will use some silly tactic to make your company stop.  The only funny thing about it is, your company will apparently believe the lie and discontinue the calls.  Guess no one will ever check back again in a day, week or month later to confirm whether or not we are still in business.

In sum, we are not interested in you, your company, its rules, policies, or methods required to be excluded from your attentions.  We are not your friend, confidant, comforter, some one to pass time with, enemy, stooge or anything else. We want to be left alone and not called by you now, or ever.  Now go live a more productive life and stop worrying about my business!

velocity merchant services, Downers Grove, IL, Pres. Dema Barakat
I began receiving not quite daily calls from them/this number about a month ago (they must troll business filings)
annoyed, i went to their website which has option to chat with customer service
first time I contacted them, their rep had a female name (Jane ?), gave her my info including telephone number, expressed my displeasure with them violating the do not call registry and she said she would have my number removed from their call list. continued to get calls
2nd time, I went to their website, chat with customer service again, alex g responded, said he would forward my number to the IT director "to remove you out of our system", but a few days later got another call
I suggest contacting both the IL Attorney General Lisa Madigan as well as the FTC to file complaints against VMS and Dema Barakat. using social media to expose their seemingly disregard for the law is another approach.

If every one who receives a call from them would call the number back and inform them that you googled the number and found a site with hundreds of complaints of harassment from that company and ask them if they're aware of it, the tables would be turned! I did just that and they promised I not receive any more calls from them. I'll let you know if they call back!

Our dental office just moved. I've been getting calls from them daily. After the 5th call in a single day I finally got frustrated and when the sales rep asked for the owner I said "You guys are calling us 4-5 times every day. What is this regarding?" The sales rep said, "Oh, that wasn't us, must have been some other company." *Click* Well that's weird that there are so many telemarketers working for different companies that all identify themselves as VMS (/sarcasm). We are already set up to take credit cards. I wish they would leave us alone and stop tying up our lines that are intended for patients.

Are you stupid? Never ever ever buy from somebody who cold calls you. Not just because it might be a scam and they will steal your card numbers, but it perpetuates the cold calling business. If everybody stopped buying from them whey would eventually stop calling.

I get calls from these guys almost everyday, among other 877 and 866 numbers. I have never answered a call from them, and they still call all the time, around 3-4 months since the first call. My cell number is not part of any business, nor am I an owner of any business- so I don't understand why they are calling me if they are part of this VMS company that serves businesses. I'm working on changing my cell phone service soon, so I'll change my number and perhaps be more restricted about who I hand out it to and where I write it down for any forms.
