Does anyone know who has this number?

Michelle
Same thing but the text was from a 424 area code. Los Angeles.
Same scenario - pre-screening for an app then filtered to the Career Institute - which referred me to the University of Phoenix! UGH

I got the same text message yesterday for a position that I applied for in Georgia on craigslist. I called and they asked if I had 25 minutes to speak with them but I wasn't free for that long and said I'd call them back. I'm glad that I decided to search the number before I called back!

I just recieved a text message from 267-294-6496 saying to call them at 888-907-0612 in reference to a job I applied for. Yeah I'm not that stupid. It would be completely unprofessional for a prospective employer to text you about a recent application. It's sad you can't even search for a job without trying to be scammed.

I got the exact same text in NY in response to a job I applied to on Craigslist. Thanks everyone, I won't be calling.

Okay so I recieved the same text and called and yes they act like the are submitting you for a job they do ask some questions then they say you will recieve an email with the information needed to finish the application then they start talking about education and trust they definitely sound more interested in you contacting another number for the ed. Purposes more than helping you find a job if I dont get that other email to finish the job app I know its a for sure scam smh can I just find a damn job wtf!!!

I just received a text from 312-519-1016 saying they have reviewed by application for an administrative position I appied for and to call back at 888-907-0612. I thought it was suspicious that someone would text and not call. Thank you Douglas for explaning what happened so I don't waste my time!
| Douglas 2011-01-17 20:31:25 Unknown |
I just got a similar text, suspicious for sure. Upon calling them, they claim they are a company that initially screens applicants for a position you applied for. They ask you some basic questions (nothing inappropriate or questionable) and then tell you you will be receiving an email with instructions to access their website the next 24hrs to continue the application process. Then they proceed to try to spin you on The US Career Institute under the guise of furthering your education. Definitely dubious and at worst a waste of time, but these types of operations do exist, but my guess is I don't receive a follow up email, and the position never really existed.

I got a text message from this a different number, asking that I call this number in regards to a job I applied for. What kind of company texts you instead of calls you?
