You can sue.

If Charter is calling your cell phone (not landline) without your express consent, you can start a class action under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

Signed up for Charter Internet srvice ONLY 2 days ago and have recieved 3 calls in 2 days from them trying to upsell me, The lady I talked to tried to direct me to their website to update my own privacy information and said all of that would stop with in 30 days, told her that I was not going to recieve calls from them for another 30 days and if one more call is recieved from them to my cell phone I would contact legal counsel with intentions of filing a lawsuit on the grounds of violation of the TCPA, she immediately stated she could not discuss legal matters advised her was not discussing legal matters was making her and Charter since we are on a recorded line fully aware of my intentions. We will see if the call cease or if I will file a lawsuit.

They contacted me about verifying installation but then tried to sell me TV and phone. I already told them I wasn't interested! I already knew my installation date and it's two weeks away, so the call was essentially to annoy me!

Looked at this site to see who called me, then re dialed and yes its Charter to tell me about "new exciting services"...

This has rang my house since I ordered and no installation yet. Seems like they will be in line with Dish Network with fines for penalties. You have to complain.

They call sometimes more than once a day. When I answer, it immediately hangs up. No idea who it is, nobody to talk to, no message.

It is Charter. I order internet and they told me the computer will keep calling me back until they install. They call the number you give them.

They say they're with Charter. When I called them and asked directly if they are Charter or a third party, they said they are 3rd party and do marketing work for them. I then proceeded to thank her and hang up the phone. :)

Received a call from this number. I called back and told them that I do not want to be harassed for additional sevices. Stated that I will cancel my service if I received another unwanted phone call. Was told that it would take up to 20 days for the calls to stop. They have been given fair warning....

Charter trying to get me to bundle my services. I don't want their phone service as it sucks! They don't want to take NO for an answer!
While typing this I called Charter. I don't know how they think that they have the right to call me although I'm on the DNC registry but told the operator that the next time they will be charged $500.00.

I told them to only call me regarding my current service and to remove me from future sales calls. She said she would remove me but that it could take up to 20 days for the calls to stop.

The same has been happening to me. I answered the phone once and no one answer. After a few second, the line went dead. I called Charter back and they figured it was a call to confirm installation of Charter services. I work at an apartment complex, so that made sense to me. However, the representative couldn't figure out which apartment it would have been for. It was a waste of my time.

Called them back & said they were Charter Communications. Didn't leave a message though.

Called back that number from my work phone...it's Charter Communications.  A***oles.

Called again...this time on the message (over 2 minutes) you could hear Ozzy Osbourne music in the background.

888-963-8178 has been calling everyday (sometimes twice a day) since 14 Jan 2013.  I just let it go to voice mail and they leave no messages.
