They called my cell twice yesterday so  today when they called I rejected the call with a message  that said my number was on the "National Do-Not-Call List", and to remove my number from their call list.   I then received a text message from "vtext.com" stating that said # was a landline.  When I tried to dial the number naturally it's not in service!
Does anyone know how these scammers get phone numbers?  They are driving me nuts.

I too have been receiving calls from 227-999-1929 and also 696-492-6394 and 938-552-7919 - as well as numerous unavailable numbered telephone calls to my cell phone - there is never a phone message or identifiying company   Contact your local FBI office and report these scammers

This is the latest (4th) in a series of invalid phone numbers that have been calling my cell in the last 2 days. This number has called twice. I recognize a previous number (227-999-1929) and if they are related, I was scammed. It was a phishing scheme saying they were working for Microsoft and my computer had been hacked. Well, it hadn't until they got to it. But all is well now.
