Unfortunately, these are fraudulent checks. Somebody who did a legitimate transaction with our company was able to get our routing numbers and are now using them to create checks. Whoever is sending these is using Craiglist as their vehicle for sending these out. If you have any further questions we can be contacted at 501-217-4960.

I don't mind giving you guys my phone number.  This person needs to go to jail instead of stealing money from people that live paycheck to paycheck.

This Julius palmer must be caught.

The name on the check I received from "Julius Palmer" was signed Hollingsworth

I can't believe that this Julius palmer has gotten away with this with other people as well. He has replied to my polite text messages as recently as this morning.

Unfortunately I am going through a bad divorce so my brain has not been working.  Well I fell for this crap he sent me a check for 1980$ which my bank cashed even though I did not have enough funds in my account to cover the check.  So long story short I had to pay 1980$ back to the bank which I had to borrow from my grandparents since I lost my job and have two small boys. Good times. I went to the bank they said it was a good check explained my story they said it was a good check and cashed it.

There are at least two variations to this scam:
1. The check is phony, but the bank does not notify you until after you shipped the item.
2. The check is written for more than the asking amount. You are instructed to send a MoneyGram for the difference. In this variation, the scammer does not care about the item. All they want is to get the MoneyGram before you learn the check bounced.

So, instead of cashing the check, file a Mail Fraud Complaint!

Jack the same thing just happened to us with a washer & dryer. Did you ever get ahold of this "Julius Palmer"? The name on the check we received is "Emily Blunt".

Selling a bedroom set for $500. Got two checks from Julius Palmer $ 1950 each by Priority mail asking to deposit, and send overage amount to his mover once clearing completed. Good Luck Julius !
