Called the number listed above for Balance Inc. and asked that my number be placed on there DNC list.  They asked for my name.  I said that's not necessary.  They asked for my last name.  I said they only need my number, no personal info is required.  Finally they asked for my number which I gave.  They said thank you very impersonally.  I asked are you going to put my number on your DNC list?  They said they will take care of it.  We will see.

Now, "Connecting" shows up in caller ID.

They called my residence in Jax this a.m. 2x.  I did not answer and they left no message.  Must be same fund raising outfit.  Glad I did not answer.

"Routing" - this is one for the air horn.

caller routing did the same to me, just slammed the phone in my ear after I say a simple "hello" anyone know what they wanted...probably just to be a pain.

Not at all comfortable about this phone call. Called and asked for my husband. I asked to take a message and they said that they would try his cell

ROUTING @ 5:50pm Feb 22,2010 - (904)-265-9706  When you try to call it back, message says, "We're sorry.  Due to telephone company trouble your call cannot be completed at this time. Will you try your call agan later?"  

I don't understand companies that want to hide behind fake names like Routing or Connecting or Utilities.  Who would favorably receive anything they had to say?  They are lying from the start.  The caller ID should just read LIARS.

Claimed to be with the FOP. Extremely rude.

I have also gotten several calls from the 904 A/C of late with the text "SIGNAL" or "DISTRICT 2", they asked for "Miz M****" and claimed to be with the FOP.

Phone rang, ID said "ROUTING". I thought routing to where? ( from my phone? )
I picked up the phone and stuck it to my ear and heard somebody coughing...,
I said "Hello?", ...I heard hello back and I didn't say anything. He said goodbye one second later. What is going on? ( 10-14-09 @ 5:50 pm ).

Just call them and ask them to put you on their do not call list - they said it takes 24 hours.

Keeps calling and lets the answering machine pickup then hangs up.  Has the Caller ID: UTILITIES.  I answered this morning and the guy asked for my wife by name.  I said no she is not.  I asked what this is about.  He rudely said we will call back and hung up the phone.  Completely ignoring my question.  I would love to know who this was.

When I answer these calls, I'm tokd that collecting for charity is exempt.  I've even been told that the reason they keep calling after being told not to, is that they figure at some time your situation will change or you will have a change of heart and donate.
