Keeps calling my personal number.

This is a scam company. They claim to be from a law office called AMG LLC. It is disturbing that they have private information, but they are a scam. They claim that they will get you fired, hurt your wife, and make you very sorry. They call from a call center and have Russian type of accents. The two names I was given was Peter Brown and James Smith. They will tell you that you have a payday loan payment that you have not paid and give you the name. When they called me it was for Advance America Cash Advance. I called Advance America and they have recieved many phone calls from previous clients. I reported them to the Washington State Attorney General's Office. They are aware of the scam. Just don't answer the phone or play with them by answering and not talking for a while and hang up. They are scum, don't believe them and SPREAD the Word - they are fakes

I listed a new number as my name above to hopefully spread the word.

I got two voice mails from the number 954-312-0848 and the caller identified himself as John Smith.  I couldn't understand what the messages were saying, but I got the number.  I didn't call back immediately as I was busy; so they called my sister.  They told my sister that I owed for a payday loan from 2007 and it was currently $1000 and in two days I would be arrested and it would $5000 if I didn't pay today.  They asked her to help and she said she would deliver the message.  When I called I got a very American sounding "Brad" who put me on hold and came back with a very thick accent (same guy) and said he was Brad Smith and needed my attorney's info.  I asked why--he said I was a suspect in a case and said I would be picked up at my address or my employment (both of which were accurate).  He asked me to confirm my social and I wouldn't--telling him I didn't think that was safe.  He told me I would feel safe in jail on Friday...and became very hostile because I wouldn't confirm it.  He said he had me recorded refusing to confirm my social.  I asked him how he could record me without my knowledge and said, I just want you to explain what these charges are and maybe I can understand.  He said he refused to tell me the charges if I refused to confirm my social and hung up.  I called back and he answered the phone, knowing it was me, and said we will speak no further if you don't cooperate--I chuckled a little and said sir--I can't get you to cooperate and shed any light on what you are talking about--he screamed at me, "why are you laughing?  this is not funny..shut up laughing."  I said, sir, tell me again the name of this firm and he hung up.  I reported this to the local sherriff's dept who called and they wanted his badge number etcc ...they put him on hold and never came back to phone.  Let's hope I don't get arrested on Friday!!  What a sad world we live in!!

Hello Everyone!!! I am still a free man!!! Surprise, Surprise ;-)

I got a total of two calls from Mr. Charles Green of AMG LLC Law Offices: 954-342-5707,stating that I had charges pending on me for check fraud and other BS and I was threatened with jail time if I did not pay them $1,095 to settle an over $6,000 "debt". This guy told me that I would be arrested and also if they could not arrest me that my Grandmother and Mother-In-Law would be. I am waiting until tomorrow at 11:00 AM when the officer is supposed to be arresting me. I talked to my city's police department and Attorney General's Office and I have been informed that the tactics they are using is HIGHLY ILLEGAL. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!! I will be sure to post another message tomorrow after 11 AM EST

I received 3 calls from this number today.  all left messages telling me the same thing.  That I needed to not ignore this phone call. And if I did not then they would wish me luck with what was going to unfold form me.  The first name was James Brown (yeah rite) the next was Steven something.  When I called and go a hold of someone, he said that he was Kurt Wagner from the AMG LLC Law Office.  He told me that there were 3 criminal charges against me and I needed to resolve it.  But he did not have my file with him.  It was with another representative.  He was very rude, and ignorant.  I asked him to repeat the name of the company again and he said that he repeated it for the last time.  Doubt it highly...............law firms do not answer the phone without going thru a receptionist.  They certainly don't anounce there intentions in that manner with out having the file and additionally they don't hang up on you because you do not want to give them your personal informaion.   I actually do have an attorney that tried to give in the phone number for and told me he would not call them that my lawyer would need to call him on monday and he would send all the necessary paperwork on my case (???) to them.  I had disputed a payday loan balance from Cash Today Unlimited months before I filed Chapter 13.  This loan was paid off with an aggreed upon amount and they withdrew a much higher amount.  I disputed it with the bank and they reversed the withdrawl.  This was back in I think 2006.  About a year later I received a call on this telling me that now owed about 5000.00.  When I filed Chapter 13 this included as a disputed amount and they did not take their opportunity to dispute this.  I am fairly sure that this is a collecion agency ignoring the US courts and trying collect.   Just don't want to deal with the aggravation on this.
Anyone got any advise on how to get this to stop?

I have been gatting the sme type of calls, and just got one saying that i was going to be arrested and they knew my name and place of work and two friends?

I keep receiving calls from 904-592-2175, the man keeps identifying himself as Officer John Myers (sp?).  He states that he is going to arrest the person who answers the phone and then later when questioned he states that he is a debt collector.  He also uses any name that he can attain, I have received e-mails in the past from foreign countries with a name of a person in the US that claims to be my representative, this is a person that I do not know; this unknown representative's name is one that the supposed officer keeps using in conjunction with mine.  I am afraid that this may be an attempt to draw monies into the US for the use of terrorists or other such persons.
