My solution is that I got a whistle, I gave them one warning that i would use it if they called again and then every time after, needless to say I don't get many calls anymore.

These guys are non stop annoying.  I'm not sure if it was coincident, but someone actually said something on the phone.  More like murmurs and just hung up.  Proceeded to find out who it was, and this number appeared.

Do they pay people to call your house or something, to annoy the you to the point of paying a past due bill from last week for $50?

Got another call from these guys today, I decided to answer and it turned out to be Citi Financial. The person they were calling for wasn't around but they did give me this number 1-877-667-6152

It's not the fact that I owe CITI financial, because I do.  I can't help if my husband lost his job. We really are doing the best that we can and before he lost his jobs they received their payments.  
It's not true that you can call Citifinancial and talk to them about your situation and that they will work with you.  Just not true. They call before 8:30 and on the weekends. I just got a call at 8:25pm. They use the please hold with unidentified numbers. They use the automatic dialer.   They call back the same day, after you have just talked to them.  
CitiFinancial was bailed out several times.  I hope that this is investigated into and that a class action suit for harassment can be filed.  It really is a financial bullying.

they call alot until u answer and then never leave a message ..it's insane...they call at all hours of the day and night....i can't stand it it is a form of harresment is it not??

Looks like I am not the only one being annoyed by them. I just found who has been calling me like crazy. I am also not late on my payment but they are calling me around 3 times per evening, more on Saturdays. What is with this stupid answering machine asking you to wait for an important message, who is going to wait for an obvious unpleasant call...Even if someone is late on their payment, that person is going to pay interest. I say celebrate your profit instead of annoying your customers.

Another thing I find ridiculous from them is those pre-approved loans that when you call are not elligable...Very disorganized company,very unprofessionnal.

just REALLLLLYYYY annoying... My payments arn't even late, and they just keep calling, honestly about like 5 times a month, oh and i get letters too.. asking me if i want antoher loan... I tell them every time to leave me alone.. and they just keep calling..

I have been getting calls from this number and from 1-905-361-4634. I reported the '34' number at some length, so will not repeat all that, as I suspect both numbers are the same caller. Once I have paid off the money I owe CitiFinancial, however, I am considering speaking to the merchant involved (won't say who that is for now) and pointing out that I'll likely never finance with that merchant again if the merchant continues to use CitiFinancial. By the way, CitiFinancial also sends me letters offering a "pre-approved" loan. You can bet I will continue to ignore these.

J'ai appelé citifinsnciere ajd. le 9 juin 2008 et je leur ai dit que c'était du harcèlement et ils disent qu'ils on le drot et je leur répond que c'est illégal selon la chartre des droits mais enfin... je leur dois $175 et je prends entente avec eux et ils ne sont plus supposé de me harceller.  Elle me dit que c'est un ordinateur qui envoie c'est coup de tél.  Je lui dis que s'ils continuent à m'appeler je ne les paierai pas.  Je vous donne le no. de tél. de citifancière avec qui vous pourrez prendre entente et ils ne vous acheleront plus...   1 877 286-6282  Mais je leurs ai dit que je ne ferai plus jamais affaire avec eux surtout pas avec les taux taux d'intétèt qu'ils chargent (32%)...

L'appelant 905 361-4635 me harcelle 2 à 3 fois par jour.  C'est Citifinancière
qui fait celà.  Ils faudraient faire un recour collectif pour harcellement et
atteinte à la vie privée, c'est de la violation de vie privée.  Je leur dois environ $150 que je vais leur payer, mais si ils continuent de me harceler je ne les paierai pas du tout il ils essaieront de m'avoir...  Celà dure depuis environ 3 sem.
Ce n'est pas légal ce qu'ils font même si ça vient de l'Ontario.

"Please hold for an important message"! That's what I get about 10 times a day. At least, say who's calling and leave a message. I won't answer until they leave a proper message saying who's calling and how can I reach them !! My next step is, like Kevin (april 22 2008), report them to the CRTC. Thanks to "WhoCallsMe" 'cause now I know it's Citi Financial ! I think they're making enough money to pay someone to talk to you when they call !!!

I too have been getting calls from this number, but have done something about it, because they are breaking the rules. One that they broke, is that they called me too early in the morning. On a Saturday and Sunday morning, they called before 8:30 AM. They are not allowed to do this. The second regulation is that they are using an automatic dialer, which does not identify the Company calling. The message only said "please hold for an important message". They are not allowed to do this when using an automatic dialer.!! The message must state who the call is coming from. They are also not allowed to do this. So, first I called my phone company. They said I could, for an extra monthly fee, subscribe to "selective call blocking". I told them I did not want to pay to stop something that should not have been happening. Then, I made a complaing online to the CRTC. They responded very quickly. They ordered my phone company to investigate, because IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY!!!The phone company has 20 days to report on their investigation. When I get the results of the investigation, I will report to all. My advice to everyone is to do the same when ppl/companies break the rules. But only contact the CTRT if your phone company does not help you. Good luck all.

I called the 1-877-667-6152 and ripped into them. Not only do I get 5 phone calls a day for one missed payment, I receive countless mail saying I am pre approved for 10000 - 25000 dollars.

How can you hound me for $95 and tell me your willing to toss me 25 thousand.

These people call endlessly until you answer.... I was 1 day late with a payment and got over 10 calls in 8 hours..... they are like badly behaved dogs with a bone....

I called the above Citi Financial Number after receiving countless calls from this number to my home fax #. Asked the person to take me off the auto dial list.  Who knows if it will work

They are annoying! They call and don't say anything on the phone!

Called once early this AM, then this eve at 8:10 PM. I answered because my wife said they have been calling alot. "Please standby for an important message" Then after 2 minutes a busy signal. I will be taking kevin's advise. Would't be surprised if these people are related to the ones who can disguise caller ID.

Bell says they are investigating because it is illegal to disguise your caller ID but really how hard could it be to find them. I call bell after I get off the phone with these people.

Just got a new cell phone number and, almost immediately, I started getting calls from 905-361-4634, 4635 and 4637.  Same thing as you other folks.  They don't leave a message and since I don't know the number, I don't answer.  I'm in Scarborough Ont.  How far reaching is this number?  Is it a Toronto area only thing?

I now as well have been getting calls from this number on my cell phone as well as one very similar 1-905-361-4634... they usually call me twice a day every day of the week and this has been a constant ritual for them to call... until today they called during school hours i dont know who it is and im sick and tired of them interupting me during class time... and bugging me at home... it is annoying the hell out of me... i answeredonce for each number and it is like someone its there listening to me but not saying a word!!!!!!! They NEED to bug off!

I too get 2 or 3 calls from this number daily.  I don't answer it because it is from my cell and no one leaves a message.  It's frustrating.

I have been geting calls from 1-905-361-4635 almost daily. There is no one speaking up at the other end when I answer. I feel threatened by these calls, like someone is checking whether we are home. Callers like that should lose their rights to use phone lines. I'd give five bucks to bust these guys - someone start bustthisnumber.org please.

Calls everyday-6-7 times at home, and I am also receiving calls from this number at work. Never leaves a message on voicemail. Many times at home I have picked up and have gotton "dead air" or "hold for an important message" but nothing else. I have called the number back and only get "all circuits are busy". Very annoying and I am thinking of getting an unlisted number!

checked 411.ca says the number is a land line from Allstream and it's from Cooksville Ontario...this number shows up daily..nothing on the other end. blocked 416-646-8801 same thing ...no one on the other end...also Allstream land based line.

I have been recieving calls for 1-905-361-4635, they never leave a message and i have tried calling the number back but it is always busy.  I was receiving calls from this number back in October and then they stopped calling now it has started again.  This has been two days in a row now they have called and it has been in the night around 9 p.m.  I googled the number because canada 411 don't give me any details and found this site.  If anyone finds out what this is please post a note.

Omg, they've been calling my house up to 4 TIMES A DAY..EVERYDAY for the last 4 months. ADAD in annoyance to its core. I'm sick of tired of them calling me, I've tried to wait aswell on hold to give them a nice speech but they don't like take you off of hold once they get you. Which is really ODD..especially for them calling us.  Will it ever stop!!?

I get the number 905 361-4634 calling me at night, usually around 8:30.  I do not answer it and they either do not leave a message or else there is a voice message "stay on the line for a important message" and then there is nothing.
