I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  
When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.  
I found there website ( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number.
They told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

I received a call  from this number today asking to speak to someone whose name I cannot pronounce let alone remember. This has happened before but not necessarily asking for the same person but the call is always generated from the same source. I asked what company was calling and the caller would only identify it as Global. When I asked if they were a collection agency, I was advised they could  not divulge this. I informed the caller that I didn't appreciate these calls and to stop calling and was rudely told they had not called before and that I was a liar for saying so. I am going to monitor these calls from now on and will not respond to their queeries unless they identify their company,  their name and the purpose of their call. If they fail to respond, I will simply hang up. If they call again, I will respond in the same manner. I have also written to Rogers asking for advice on how handle these calls.

Keep calling me to settle legal issues - I have no knowledge of these people and have no legal issues with them.
They do not identify who they are with

I received a call from this number saying they are a lawyers office, which they are not! The are a collection agency. I also found they are being investigated for fraud!

it is an automated call supposedly from a lawyer's office and I am supposed to press a number to get back to them. I have hung up
