I got a scratch card too, scratched an x. I'm not going to bother to call, simply because I don't want the demonstration. I am not sure why the heck some of you are flipping out about this! Really??? How often do you get something for free? So what you sit through a demonstration, it pulls you away from the tv or internet for an hour. As for saying its a "scam" well I disagree, you have the choice to call or not call, thats not what I call a scam. Some of you need to relax a little.

Got the card in the mail. "Won" with the "X" pattern. I Googled their business number, 2164909 Ontario Limited. Multiple sites suggest that they trade as Simple H2O, with headquarters in Woodbridge, Ontario.

Decided not to call them to "claim" a "prize" given the feedback here.

Hey there, Just got 5 stars in a row down the middle, and called in. The teen on the phone said someone will come over, 6-7 you'll have to say if you like the taste, smell and feel of the purified water they are selling and then they'll let me know what prize i've won.  The ONLY options for prizes are a car or $25,000 if I don't want the car ( if I win it) and a big screen t.v / $500 hotel discount card - galaxy tablet + or new sony play station... lol i'm gonna let them come :) not buying anything and the teen on the phone was like.. just do it it's fine, and let them scan your card lol ok will do.

got this ticket in the mail, nobody called.

So, I work for this company as one of the. what you would call "Salesman".....but Salesmen only get paid commission,
I get paid hourly and commission. The demonstration will show you the benefits of using a Conditioner/purification system for your House hold water.......There is a HUGE difference. The company that sends out these bingo scratches will give you a prize, like it states on the back and educate you on the municipal water you may drink. I'm just a average guy lol....I've been working with them for about 2 weeks now, overall it's kind of scary to really know what's in your water.

Anyhoo, they do win prizes. Totally understandable how people can be leery of them, no doubt.

Just leaves more prizes for other people ;)

I guess we all won cars lol. I am an "x" winner too. The lady on the phone asked for the homeowner and then said they would have someone visit our home to verify the "x" on the card. Definate scam.

Got the X on the mid bingo card.

Why these are even in our mail is beyond me. Hope they paid a good deal amount of postage for this scam.

Toronto is apparently being flooded with this junk bingo scratch card.

If it sounds too good to be true - IT PROBABLY IS A SCAM. There are no other identifiers...

The numbers to call were: 905-470-9935, and 1855-470-9935 as stamped in blue ink on the back.

Skill testing question: 16x5+ (32-8) = 104

Those are the only identifiers.

Avoid at all costs. No such thing as a free lunch.

I received the same type of card (except it's a Texas Hold-em type).
Same blah blah......read the small print folks - 997/1000 win a travel voucher,
which to me translates to a Guantanamo Bay Time Share.  You know the ones, after hours
and hours of manipulation they hope to eventually beat the wallets out of your pockets.

No thanks.

well  well  I had them come over  I told them I not buying so where'. bus my prize the person said you have won the shower head but you know we just ran out. 1.595,199 shower head happen to be all ready given out. so don't worry we have a different prize for you .3 days 2 nights. at 90 destinations. all you have to do is mail this coupon back to the same company and they will send you  reservation forms and instructions  but only if you send a self addressed  and stamped envelope 90 days before departure. so instead of my free prize I have to spend money on a plain ticket or fuel so how is this not a scam or a fee prize

It's SHADY.

I would be more likely to call if they flat out said "We are ASAP Solutions selling water purification systems.  If you want a free prize in exchange for a product demonstration at your home, give us a call".  Then they could also have a scratch & win thing on the card to tell you what your "prize" will be in exchange for the demonstration.  So that way you know exactly "oh ok I will get the laptop in exchange for this demonstration".

Using crappy bingo cards with no company info on it to make people think they "won" something to try to get you to sell their product is just a horrible way of marketing and doing business.

The problem is you have no idea about these "employees" and who they hire to do these sales pitches.  They could have criminal records.  These types of companies hire anyone.  I understand it's not a scam, but it's just a shady way of going about it.

They would be better off dropping flyers in the mail stating CLEARLY what company they are, and what they are selling, and if you would like a FREE prize in exchange for a water purifying home demonstration, then give us a call.... That way if people are interested in the free prize or the demonstration they will call freely.

In Markham.  I too got the Bingo card and I won an "X" in the middle box (numbers:  B3, 7; I 22, 29; G 50, 54; O 66, 75).

The code along the side strip was:  346723654 XNOTE967Q15 - W2  (someone else said apparently the W2 means you won a shower head).

I did not call because on the back of the card it said "must agree to a product presentation at your home".  No thanks.  If I had to GO somewhere and listen to a presentation, I would go.  But I am nervous about strangers coming to my home. I do not know if they will scope out the house or something.

It could be a legitimate business trying to sell stuff, but a $100 cheap plastic shower head is not worth someone wasting a few hours of my time and coming into my home.

This is definitely a scam. I received 7 of these Bingo cards in my mail box and on all of them the bingo cards and numbers were the same on every single one and I really doubt I won 7 times.

I agree...
A very common marketing tool.  It's call Lead Generation.  If your interested you call them.  If not. You don't!  If you do, they give you a free little gift in return for wasting your time.

The "scratchie" part is just meant to be a bit of fun for you.

I would rather this kind of marketing then getting cold callers on the phone.  They are GIVING YOU THE CHOICE TO CALL OR NOT rather than bother you when dont want to be.

I agree again.. the bingo is legit.. the company.. well... Always do your research first.

Do ANY of these prizes actually exist other than that cheap shower head?
What bull. They're just trying to get into your house and refuse to talk about the "prizes".

This is not legit at all.

Seriously people...when you guys go to tim hortons and play roll up the rim, you either never win or you win a coffee/Doughnut. Not everyone wins a god damn car, its called odds. Atleast with this company most people are winning the "shower head". Its not a scam...basically they are giving you a showerhead for an hour of your time. So they can explain to you about their actual product. Its just a way of marketing people, calm down, and stop jumping to conclusions. If your not interested just simply dont call back. But yea its not a scam, one employee of theirs will come over and compare tap water to their purified water...and even if you their product or not, you still get your prize at the end. So this Bingo thing is not a scam...but the company itself im not too sure about...go do your own research on that.
