I received a call from this number asking if I received the yellow pages at my door. He also knew my address.

A woman's voice. I think she said she was calling from "Canada Service" and that there were programs she could offer me that would put money in my pocket. All I had to do is push number 1 to hear more about it.

905-555-5555 called an hour ago.....
My response ...... press ### and then block caller.
### can make the robodialer think it has reached a "non" phone number (i.e.. one not assigned or a fax number etc). Then your number is removed from their potential victim list. In case these criminals have found a way to get around this, the block should take care of them (until they try to perpetrate the scam using another number).
P.S. 555-5555, really???
That's the number they use on films or tv whenever a ph. number is mentioned ....ERGO.....it is not a real number - it never gets assigned to any person, by any phone company. The number is spoofed - who knows what country the call is really coming from.
Now that I've done my duty....I'm going for a cappuccino!

A survey to reduce debt, eh???? LOL
Sounds like that same old scam to reduce debt...just trying a slightly different approach for those of us who haven't fallen prey yet to the criminals. Let's face it, any number like 555-5555 is spoofed by criminals (no phone company would give this number out as it is reserved). So...don't fall for it.
The phone rang here, I picked up and hit ### (which may foil their robodialer) and then for good measure blocked the number.
Nah, nah , nah nah .... kiss them gooodbye

I get a call from this number, or 416-555-5555, always leaving the same voicemail about participating in a survey to reduce debt. The frustrating thing is that they keep calling at work so I can never pickup and press 9 to be removed from their list (which I'm not entirely sure would even work...). But they leave me about 4 voicemails a day and it's driving me crazy. Will probably just block their number soon as I am becoming too frustrated with their calls.

We should try to get a hold of them and pretend we're intersted and just give them false info. and try to waster their time.

Called my cell phone and left a message to participate in a credit survey. Said press 9. Another scam call.

Blocked. They'll waste their (machine) time calling my number from now on. I wish I could waste their staff time to retaliate for the inconvenience they caused me.

I got call from this number. I didn't answer so they called 3 times in 15 minutes. Thank God, I don't have voice mail service...

Got the survey too. Sick of these calls.

Automated message about participating in a survey involving your debt balance. Choose an option and this would re-route to a live person.
The scam was associated with other numbers, but assume they have changed the display number to avoid call blocking.

Just got a call from same number. Did not answer. Have been getting a number of telemarketing calls in the last month, even with number on Do Not Call List. Reported all instances to DNCL.

I didn't answer when it called but it left a voicemail asking to participate in some sort of 5 minute survey/signup that would "save me thousands"
It gives an option to press 1 to participate or 9 to be removed from the call list. I'll see if 9 works if they call again.
