The word is 'statute', and it's 6 years from the last date of activity, which for most people would mean the last time they made a payment.  After 6 years your credit report will be clear.

Have called me twice looking for Chris.  Never heard of him.  I have no debts so they either dial wrong or someone used my number.

OMG! How long do these b*****ds keep outstanding debts on their system? Even when the original debtor left and a new person inherits the dead beats number? Statue of limitation in Ontario is 2 years! All outstanding debt after that is TOO BAD!!! Check your damn files or better yet...do a reverse look up on the number you are dialing!

Sleazy Collections Agency. This is the 3rd Collections agency trying to get money from me for a credit card I had 2yrs ago. i guess the first 2 gave up. Cant pay if i dont have a job. Least of my worries. Amount $ 2000 .

Got a hang up call from 905 639 6990. Googled it and came up with 888 248 9615. When I called it, I got a fellow that asked what number they had called. I told him. He punched it in 4 times, and said he kept coming up with the wrong info. I politely informed him, I would like to be removed, or I would report to Consumer Branch. He immediatley got aggressive, and I hung up. I emailed Helen.Apostolopoulos@ontario.ca and asked her how to ensure I would be removed from their list.
FYI, I owe nobody anything.

They called me too, collection agency digging up 12 year old files. A woman said the manager is somebody by the name of Chad Seamans. She can not email me but receives all information I have! Gave a Ref. number and said should contact <chad.seamans@arc.ca>.

ARC continually calls with this number (905)639-6990 or (416)495-8365 or (416)223-2819. Often they will call with one number and call back a few minutes later with another number. Collection Agent either leaves a message or does not.

This call is from "Accounts Recovery Corporation".  How many numbers do they have?

Its voice call looking for a particular name. And asking to call her back. I received the same call for two times. EVerytime that i answer it is the voice call. It really disturbs me.
