Who calls from this number and what do they want.

Someone called me from this number, a male and left a message. Very rude and aggressive and said I must "report back to him in 24-48 hrs". Ya ok!!! Very rude.

Last 7 years the top consumer complaint has been against collection agencies.

Your Rights When Dealing With Collection Agencies

The Collection Agencies Act prohibits collection agencies from doing certain things.

A collection agency may not:

Contact you until six days have passed from sending you written notice of the following:
The name of the creditor
The balance owing
The name of the agency and its authority to demand payment
Continue to contact you if you did not receive the notice unless a second copy of the written notice is sent to an address provided by you, and then contact may only be made six days after sending notice.
Contact you if you send a registered letter to the agency saying that you dispute the debt and suggest the matter be taken to court.

Contact you if you and/or your lawyer notify the agency by registered mail to communicate only with your lawyer, and you provide the lawyer's name, address and telephone number.
Contact you on Sunday, except between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and on a holiday.
Contact you other than by ordinary mail more than three times in a seven-day period without your consent, once the agency has actually spoken with you.
Use threatening, profane, intimidating or coercive language, or use undue, excessive or unreasonable pressure.
Continue to contact you if you have told them that you are not the person they are looking for unless they take reasonable precautions to ensure you are that person.
Give false or misleading information to any person.
Recommend to a creditor that a legal action be commenced against you without first sending you notice.
Contact your employer except on one occasion to obtain your employment information, unless your employer has guaranteed the debt, the call is in respect of a court order or wage assignment or if you have provided written authorization to contact your employer.
Contact your spouse, a member of your family or household, or a relative, neighbour or acquaintance except to obtain your address and telephone number unless the person contacted has guaranteed the debt or you have given permission for the person to be contacted.
If a collection agency has engaged in any of these prohibited practices in dealing with you, file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Branch.

they call me many many time and I told them only same name they want to find.and I block their phone

number. But they use other phone call me. How can I do ?

I got a call from them and I don't owe them money.  All my bills are up to date.  Turns out they are looking for someone with the same last name as I have.  But totally different first name.

I got a call for t 905 738 4935 its the same people calling from 1 866 916 9162 or 416 916 9162. its a collection company called COLLECT COM if they call you, you owe some one they are very rude pple they talk down to you as if the are better human beings than you are.! Companies that use this collection co. should reconsider who collects their debts for them.

I got a call from this number man was extremely rude. Told me to grow up and get a f****ng job and pay them. wow i was speechless never knew collectors were soooo rude called back to talk to supervisor he was just as rude " WHAT DO YOU WANT?"   are these people serious??  even if yu have the money to pay they piss you off in away that u won't  TD please find another collection company to repesent you

the other number they call from is 1866916162

my mom recieved 3 calls from these people looking for my cousin.  the last time they called, my mother says he doesn't live here and the lady on the other end said "I KNOW YOUR LYING.  STOP LYING!!!"  wow, i guess they hire anyone now a days.  i will be calling the call back number myself and informing the supervisor if they call back 1 more time, action will be taken

There are just simply collection agent(s) acting as a third party to collecting FOR whoever they wish to represent. The matter fact, they purchase the account to make money. Usually they have nice collection.

This was a TD Canada Trust Collections Agent.
Will be filing a complaint for harassment and discrimination - RUDE PEOPLE!

Hi , i got a call also from this person. The call back number is different then this number, they left me a message...so i called back .... And its collections... My bad! Shouldnt of called them back , LOl.

  Heads up .....if u are getting calls from this number , you're oweing some money , someplace.
