Wow - too funny - does this person not thing there are SMART women out there - heck, we landed a husband, why wouldn't we look up a potential scam - she told me the exact same thing. I thought I would play it cool and say "heck, don't make your shipper drive all the way out to the country to my house, they can just bring the cash right to my work and pick it up".  

I figured it was a scam from the first e-mail but wanted to play along a little  - it doesn't help that they ask "is this dress still available? what is the size, condition, and price" - so I responded "hm, strange, are you no longer able to view my post on Craigslist any longer?  All that info was on there" - wonder how long she will play along??

Same exact thing just happened to me!

Got a text message from this number 909-267-6700 said her name is Kayla Oscar, asking about my wedding dress on craigslist. At first it seemed innocent. She's in CA right now because that is where the wedding is.   Then she said she's in CA due to her condition but will have a shipper pick up the dress.   As soon as I agreed (first time dealing with a scammer) things changed and got sketchy. Said that the cashiers check will include the shippers funds. Once I receive the check, I am to deposit it, funds will be available within 24 hours. I am to deduct the funds for the dress and have the rest sent via money gram to the shipper.  At that point I really started asking questions. Asked who the shipper was. She wouldn't tell me. Said she would give me more info once I get the payment.  I told her no, I need to know first, who is the shipper?  She said and I quote, the shipper is the person who is coming for the pickup.  I told her I to tell me the name of the person or the company. She said she didn't have their details now, she has to make a payment for the dress first. Then said 'a step at a time please'.  At that point I ended everything.
