I entered no such contest!  This must be a scam to gather info about me from my computer.

I get this txt on my phone at least 1x per month. The number this time was 915-215-0840. I always knew it was a scam. I really hope people don't actually fall for this...

got a text from this number sntraying that I won a $1000. Best Buy gift card because of an entry I submitted.  I have not been inside of a Best Buy in about a year and NEVER enter drawings.

GOT A TEXT FROM 909-837-7761 TODAY SAYING I WON $1000 GIFT CARD.  ALL I HAD TO DO WAS ENTER CODE 9384 IN 24 HOURS.   IT MUST BE A SCAM BECAUSE I DIDN'T ENTER!

received text stating "your entry last month has WON!  Go to BestBuyContest.com and enter your winning code 9384 to claim your FREE $1000 BestBuy gift card within 24hrs."  I was in BestBuy but don't remember entrying a contest?  Is this for real or a scam?

Got one of these at 5:30am this morning. But it told me to go to a different website BestBuyContest.com and they only gave me $100 you would think that if they really wanted someone to inter the code they would at least make more interesting. lol

I ignore these messages because I know they're spams, but guess what! I was checking my bank account and there was a charge in process for $43 for a purchase in MN!!  Well guess what, I live in CA!! Called my bank right away.  I haven't bought anything from best buy in almost a year!  I had the bank put a hold on my account.  Now I have to go into my local branch to explain what happened and get a temporary card until my new one come in.  Better safe than sorry!

Received a message today from same number - 909-837-7761.  Looks like they changed the website - it's now BestBuyContest.com - instead of BestBuyWin.com   I didn't go there - erased the message.  Best idea

Just got a text from this number saying I won a Best Buy $1000 gift card. scam

This morning I received a tex message from 909-837-7761 stating the follwoing - "Your entry last month has WON! Go to BestBuy.com and enter your winning code 6207 to claim your free $1000 BestBuy gift card within 24 hrs."
I did NOT enter any BestBuy contest or event...this is a scam.

I got one this morning too.  Same pitch...At text message telling me that my entry "won" a $1000 Best Buy gift cert.It told me to go to BestBuyContest.com within 24 hours, enter 6207, and claim my prize. I'm guessing this will be shut down long before 24 hours elapses, and they'll have a new URL. These scammers never underestimate the power of naked greed...

Received the message this morning from 909- 837-7761, but the website they want you to go to is bestbuycontest.com  and the winning code is different.  I guess they changed it up!  LOSERS!!!

On Sept. 21, 2012, I got the message "Your entry last month has WON!  Go to BestBuyWin.net and enter your winning code XXXX to claim your FREE $1,000 Best Buy gift card within 24 hrs."  Obviously a scam.  Looked it up...it's from a Verizon cellphone based in Pomona, CA. I sent messages back to that SOB.

Got same text with code 6207.  Just deleted it.  Did call number,  VM NOT SET UP YET

I received a text message at 5 am stating I won. I did not respond but opened my iPad and entered web address bestbuywin.net. No such address existed.   So am now reporting this number. Aside from being annoyed, no harm done.

Looked all over my Best Buy Account to see if I had entered or won anything. Nope. The part that had me suspicious though was we use my number for everything and this text came in to my partner's number.

They are still up to no good at 3am.
