they call me everyday, answered once. they said message was for steve and the verizon account was overdue. I am female, not a steve and my cell phone isn't even thru verizon!!!!

I've gotten calls from this number in the past.  never answer them.  I see that some say it's verizon regarding a past due bill.  I have verizon, and my bill is not past due.

Got a call on both home phone and cell phone about 1:10 pm today. No message left at either phone number. No idea who or what that is.

It is most definately NOT Verizon! Just received a call with NO message left, Verizon has ALWAYS left messages when they call.

Stop spreading false facts and having people think twice about it,

IF, Verizon was to call, they'll most definitely leave you a message regarding their reasoning for calling.

I've gotten a call from this # to my house and cell phone and they didn't even care to leave a message to the answering machine.

If you see this #, simply ignore it. I just started getting calls from this # today but I've gotten similar calls like this one in the past before. There isn't anything you can do but ignore it, they eventually go away.

The location of this # is from Jacksonville. The last one I use to receive was in Arizona.

Again, its BS, just ignore it.

This number calls me 2-3 times a day.  I thought it was a real phone call from Verizon.  Thanks for the above info, I will continue to ignore the calls but it is so ANNOYING.

This is DEFINITELY Verizon, and here is how to fix it...  

Back story, I have been dealing with these calls for weeks and I will tell you exactly why this is happening and how to fix it, because I just finally got my number taken off after MONTHS of these phone calls.

This phone number is an automated message from Verizon to collect on a bill.  In my case, they had a name, and let you press a number if they were calling that  number in error.  That directs you to a department which has absolutely no record of your phone number they're calling in error, and no idea how to fix it.

I was frustrated so I started calling Verizon directly.  They could also not help me, nor do anything but transfer my call to a million different people who also could not help.

Today I finally got resolution.  Call (800) 922-0204, this is Verizon's customer care line, and when you get the option to speak to a representative, tell them you are getting phone calls to your number but you are not a Verizon customer/do not owe a bill (that's how it was in my case, I have T-Mobile anyway!).  Then ask to be transferred to FINANCIAL SERVICES.  No one else has the ability to remove your phone number but this department.  Then within 48 hours they will stop calling you.

I hope someone listens to my advice, because I was getting these calls non stop and I was sick and tired of it.  Verizon is absolutely terrible if it took me so long and so many incompetent people to do one simple stupid thing.

I called Verizon to ask the if it was them and they said NO....Let me repeat that...they said it is NOT them!!!!  They blocked the number so they can no longer call me...if it were VERIZON, I do not think they would block their own number!!!!  Wise up people!!!  IT IS NOT VERIZON!!!!

Just call the number. This is Verizon wireless. The first thing it said is something like "Welcome to Verizon wireless"

If you call the number, it answers "Welcome to the Verizon Wireless Message Retrieval Center" and then says it in Spanish.

Kept calling, say they are from Verizon and my cell bill is $436 paqst due.  Automated line asks you to pay in full, half or anything. That should make anyone suspicious. I do not have a Verizon cell by the way.

It is a scam my bill is completely up to date. If your bill is so overdue why is your phone still on?? doesnt make sense if it was really verizon your phone would be shut off. I have been getting these calls and ignoring them completely.

We're receiving umpteen calls from this number, but they never leave a message.
This needs to stop as they are calling a cellular, not a home line.  This line is designated for repair service or maintenance on water systems. When calling the number you get nothing!!!!!

I'm reporting it to the FCC, as Verizon will do nothing about it.  What a wonderful friggen world we're living in.

It´s Verizon. Late pymts reminder call.

This is the sales department from verizon wireless. They've been phoning me incessantly over the past few days. They say they are calling because my contract has expired and they want to renew it and "review my services". It is a promotion and they are allowed to call you even if your number is on the "do not call" list because you have an existing business relationship. If you don't want the calls, tell them to put you on their internal "no calls" list.

I am received continual calls and no messages are left.

this is a scam/con artist!  I did some research...one more time and I will get them for aggravated harrasment!

If you call the number back it says welcome to the Verizon Wireless message retrevial system

I don't know who this is and I don't want them to call my cell anymore!!

I have received 3 calls today from this number also saying something about Verizon and got the same call last Friday from the same number.

I got a call this morning and answered it - no one responded right away so I hung up.  This is probably automated mass-calling, and it takes a minute for someone to notice that the phone has been answered.  A few live answers with an immediate hang-up usually gets my number removed from these schemes.

Just got a call recently, no message

2 calls to my cell; 1 call to my wife's cell, 1 call to the house... no messages.

I was brave enough to return the call from my cell phone. It WAS Verizon and they wanted a payment. Did it about 10 minutes ago FYI

This is a municipality.  Whoever calls does not respond when answered.

It's really Verizon. Your bill is past due.
