Yes. Very similar. If u look at my response on annoyed's post I go into a similar detail. My brother is an FBI agent and he says that it's a scam and it would be difficult to investigate them because of the system these people use to attain a different number to call.

I received the same call from +911and they kept threatening me that they have a warrant out for my arrest and that they are going to dispatch a police to arrest me at my work early in the morning tomorrow. They were mean, rude, and vulgar. They have attempted to call me from other numbers stating that they are an officer and also an attorney's office and to pay $600+ through some paypal thing I would need to purchase at a local walgreens. They even called my work extension and left a message.

Same thing just happened to me.  I asked him since when do 911 operators from foreign countries call people to tell them they have a warrant for their arrest and recommend they get a "Federal Attorney."  He didn't know what to say.  I played along for a while like what is the warrant for etc.  I then told him I am calling the actual 911 number to report harrassment and falsification of a police officer and he hung up.  Stupid morons

Received a call from 911 the name was unknown left a voicemail saying I had a criminal case filed against me to call an officer Black to discuss
it. And if I didn't and they got another complaint they'd have me arrested and brought up on criminal charges I never even heard of an Officer Black. They didn't even pronounce my name correct. So I know it must be some kind of scam.Cuz I've never done anything criminal in my life.

everyone there,
remember, anyone calling you from a 911 is FAKE! anyone telling you that they are detectives or lawyers or whatever are FAKE! hang up on them and block their numbers. no one in their right mind would be calling you to tell you that they are who they said they are. REAL lawsuits and complaints are handled by the court system and a real processing delivery servers.
so next time, be smart and just hang up.

I received a phone call from #911 that showed up on my phone.  Some foreign guy said he was officer Black with Harris County in Houston Tx and that there was a warrent out on me for a crime I had committed and
he asked me if I wanted him to iniate the warrent and they would come to my job or resident to pick me up.  I asked him to iniate the warrent and come and serve it, so I can have the real cops pick him up.  What a A***ole who do not know that you do not call the person the warrent is being served on.

I received a call from this number today, it was a woman with a heavy accent, she called me my last name, i said yes, what do you want, she said I don't want nothing and hung up.  I called that number back and it was some type of forigen message I couldnt understand.  I answered the phone with an attidute I think this is why she said I don't want nothing.  When I saw this phone number that start with an +9111 xxxxx, I instantly answered the call with an attitute.  This is the first time I received a call from this number and I hope the last.  I immediately put the number on reject, hopefully they won't call me again, anyway the call won't go through.

I got a +911 call.  The caller had a thick foreign accent, and was claiming to be an officer. He also said something about how I was going to be arrested tomorrow.  I have gotten similar calls, but this is the first time it was a +911 call.  Since I kind of knew the script I new it was a scammer.  Also I live in a vert small town and a very small county.  I know all of the officers, and not a single one of them is from India.

Print off this thread and give it to your employer.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam a year ago:

I received the same calls first its from 911, then from a number in the Virginia beach va area, from officer ken stolle... Who just happens to be the sherriff of va beach va.  His name was anything but "ken" I couldn't understand him and he said they were coming to my employer and arresting me if I didn't pay 550 for a loan I had. I til him I never had any kind of loan and to stop calling me. I retuned the call to the 757 number and it was in fact the sheriffs office. They assured me that ken stolle did not call me and that they had 10 other callers that day wih the same problem. What can I do to stop this? They are calling my employer and yelling at my co workers as well and I am afraid they will cost me my job!

I just received the same call (911 Emergency) saying he (Eastern Hindu Indian)was calling from the state police of Ohio. He said I have a warrant for my arrest and that I have an outstanding balance for a US Cash Advance for $450. I advised him I don't have any outstanding payday loans. He said that he could clear it up, when I started telling him this is a fraud and that I was going to call my uncle who is a Ohio State Trooper and see if this is true....he then hung up on me....Hmmmmm....smells like a scam!...if I could only track that number down.

I recieved a 911 call saying this man was from the State police.  He is so dumb because A, he didn't say the state( Alabama) which doesn't have state police.  Then he told me to take a tide with a Mr.Douglas for a crim I had committed.  I am a Christian woman, that has been on medical leave since July.  Dealing with weekly doctors appointments, a mother, wife, in school, and being a business owner, I have no time to commit crimes.  I wonder if someone has maybe tried to use my identification, because I have been a victim before.  And the "office from the state" could barely speak English, with his India accent.  I yelled at him as he yelled at me and said " let me call the real police"!! Just be careful, and stand your ground.  The real cop told me this the number will never come up as 911 from any office of law..

Just received a phone call from an officer Christopher Brooks, East Indian accent, 911 #, telling me he was and police officer and that there was a warrant out for my arrest for a Payday loan from US Cash Advance for $400.  Asking me what am I going to do about it, telling me I need to call this other # 408-905-2499, and make payment, then call him back at 213-289-3926, to confirm payment.  And that if I didn't make payment, he was going to arrest me at my job.  I told him I am not paying anything over the phone for a loan I didnt take out.  He got real angry and started threatening me, saying he was going to come to my job and arrest me.  so I told him I was broke and that I would make payment on Friday, that was the only thing that made him happy.  So I got off the phone and called my local police department, asked them to check if I had any warrants out for my arrest and he laughed, saying that $$$ issues are civil matters, and are not handled that way.  He did confirm that I do not have any warrants, which calmed me down, and that this is a scam.  I called him back, telling him that it was confirmed by my local police department that I do not in fact have a warrant and that things like this were handled differently.  He tried to say he was in LA and they work different down there, and that the police dont have national databases for all of CA. LIES ALL LIES!!!  I called him out on it and would not back down, he then hung up on me as they always do and will not answer the phone.  And funny thing is, when I called the other #, it was his voice on the recording, sooooooooo there you have it, THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
