Yup. Got the exact same messages as shown above, from responding to an ad on backpage.com in Jacksonville FL. Got suspicious when I was asked to click on a hidden link. I know computers and knew it was probably a bad idea. So I pasted it into google and found myself on this blog. Fukkin scammers!!!! They suck (and not in the way we'd like!)

I almost got caught in this scam. Pricing and pics and location seemed way to good to be true.  Went ahead and gave my cc numbers but knew I had 1 day to cancel.  I did that immediately after doing some careful research.  Yeah its date blank.com and they are all blond and have the same weight and cup size.  ha ha.  It's b***s***.

I thought this seemed like a scam. The replies seemed to automated and when I asked her where she lived she said "downtown" and when she wanted me to sign up on a website I was 90% sure it was a scam, thanks for confirming it.


I thought these scammers only hung out in the Casual Encounters section, now they are spreading to the other parts of the site, pretty soon I'll be trying to buy a mattress or a weight bench and I'll be asked to "verify that I'm real"

This is just some Asian dude who answers. Its a complete scam run by a bunch of lairs. I'm sure that business law applies here, esp if the area code is in Kansas.

Be sure to check your card charges very carefully when you get your statement. The site asks for your card number, expiration and code number. You may find you bought more than a $1 phone number.

Trouble is, the info may not be used for a month or so and you may not notice a charge later.

I have been had - it sucks - too bad I did not have the number to check out first.

yes,  this is a scam.  the phone number you get is a machine.  i left a one hour message on the machine of rug rats tv show.  I did call the dating service and did get a full refund for the charge.  I told the operator that they are using his site for a scam and that he should be aware.  He said he did not know anything about that but did offer the full refund.

I was searching CL and came across one that took me to datesophia.com which ask for a dollar to acess for verifcation. I was nervious from the start thanks for saving my time and money

Yes it's a scam alright.  They must make money off the non-renewals.  Names go from Kelly, Trisha, Jennifer, Sophia, Tiffany etc.  I also got suspicious when all models were shown as 5'6" 110 34C

Interesting it looks like there are a lot of different "models" that use this number.  It is a scam, and the ads are posted on Craigs List as escorts.  Luckily, if you just pay the dollar and cancel the membership once you realize its a scam then you don't lose much.  However, if you forget to cancel then the scam costs you 39.95.  

I'm wondering...how does this operation stay in business?  Where do its revenues come from?  Do some people just not cancel before the 7 days are up?

This is an escort scam.  she wants you to pay for a verification at an escort site, the number given is just a machine in Kansas.  Tell all your friends about the scam..  Her name is Sophia  She works at datesophia.com  avoid this site at all costs.

Number was given by an "escort" after she convinced a potential client to subscribe to a boggus "verification service."  There was, of course, no answer.
