I keep getting these calls from this company.  I am on social security.   I am not sure why I keep getting calls from them.  I don't want to hear from any of these companies I am having high blood pressure problems and have been in the hospital for it.  Is there something I can do about it.  I told them when I went to the hospital I don't have insurance. That was in December of 2013.  I now have insurance,since starting in January 01, 2014.

I don't have any bills to pay -_- I can only assume it's a scam because the number is coming from Missouri, which is where my phone number is from, but I now live in Hawaii -_- It's fake.

Keep receiving calls on my pay-as-you-go number, so every time they call it deletes minutes from my phone.  The number calling is 913-677-9470.  It comes back to:  Affiliated Management Services Consulting, call center.  I called the 800 number and asked the person who answered the phone if 913-677-9470 was one of their numbers?  He said, yes.  I explained that I keep getting phone calls to my phone and I DO NOT have any outstanding bills.  He checked my number and connected me to "the person that is calling you".  I explained to the lady that I was getting calls to my cell (pay-as-you-go) and I don't know why, as I have no outstanding bills.  She said, "is your name Claudia?"  I said, "no".  She said, "do you know anyone named Claudia?".  I said, "no, and I have had this phone number for quite a few years."  She said, "sorry, I will remove your number".  So, apparently some low-life named Claudia, gave them my number or someone keyed it in wrong.  Hopefully, this will stop the calls.

this is how you get rid of a deb collector calling your cell phone. when you get a call from a number you don't know.

Who? ---- Oh hun you have the wrong number. I've been getting calls for this person ever since I got this new phone number. It must be their old number. Can you please remove me from your calling list.

(they will call three times, that is their protocol and you have to do this every time) then they remove you. Works like a charm !! and I never get another call.  If your concerned it might be something important just call the number back and see who answers it.

just got off the phone with scott from this place.  pretty decent guy.  informed me that a medical bill had gone to collections from a doctors office in kansas city, said it was pretty standard proceedure, and helped me set up a payment plan with them.  they aren't all a***oles, be nice to them, they'll be nice ot you.

if you are getting calls about settled and paid for debt, call the original debtor.  in this case it would be the hospital.  a lot of times that stuff gets blown by the wayside and the original debtor does'n;t mark the debt as paid.  if it doesn't get marked as paid, it doesn't leave the collection system.

it is a collection service, although it is a bit different than you are all saying.  the apartment complex i lived in informed me that any money owed to them upon my leaving would be sent to these people for them to handle.  not on here saying they are saints, i've spoken with a couple reps that i would rather get in a boxing ring with, and then a couple that were at least courteous to me, if borderline.  no huge complaint for me, i owed an apartment complex money, they told me it would immediately be sent to their collection agency to be dealt with, i answered the call, and have payments set up with them.  

i am in no way, shape or form affiliated with these guys, and most of the reveiws on the site are from 5 years ago.  from the research i've done, they mostly handle renter debt and seldom anything else.  decent enough company, just needs to freshening up in the CSR department and make ALL of the reps be at least friendly.  friendly goes a long way to getting debt settled.

This number calls then hangs up and immediately calls right back and never leaves  a message.

Hmmm...do you work for these people?  Not everyone is a deadbeat you know, just because you get a call from a collection agency doesn't mean you don't pay your bills. I guess you didn't get 'one' prior notice and now you are better than everyone else? Interesting.

Affiliated Management called - I advised them that the bill they were calling about was fraud, the person was my child (who didn't have any outstanding bills!), for a business we had never been to & he was insistant that he could take my payment over the phone...

Report them to your state Attory General office.

I had the same issue.  This number would call, I answer, and the I could hear people on the other end, but no one would ever speak.  They would also leave empty messages.  I was getting a call every day for over a month.  I found this website, then called Affiliated Management Services Inc  directly at 800-221-1314 and found out that it is a collection agency.  I owed $30 on something from a while back because of an address change.  Don't pay the collection agency directly--try to contact the original service provider first, just to ensure it's legit.

I also have people bugging me from this # with the same story other people have posted: That I owe them $25. and some odd cents over an old hospital bill that i've already paid off a long time ago. They have called numerous times only twice they have left a message. Both times I've returned the phone call. The first time I called them back they told me I had an unpaid balance of $28 and some cents and the 2nd time $25. When i told the rude man I talked with that it was them calling me for money on a bill I've paid off, the burden of proof was on them to prove it. He said he planned on coming up with no such proof. I told him to quit calling me then b/c I was not about to give them $$. Perhaps they have access to old hospital records and they are hoping to catch some sucker on the phone that'll whip out a credit card and give it to them over the phone, but I certainly won't do it and neither should you if they come calling.

Affiliated management: Calls repeatedly, harassment. The number goes directly to a person so you can  give them a taste of their own medicine. Put their number into http://www.icantfindmyphone.com/ and hit back and hello again to keep calling them. Find their fax number and send black faxes.

Just filed a complaint with the KS Atty Gen against Affiliated Mgmt. Next is the BBB. Hope something can be done.

These people are located in Mission KS and seem to be a legit outfit. I looked them up and they have been in business since 1987.   I have spoken to them twice and had little or no problems .  No different from any others.  They were reasonable to work with . gave me a payment plan .

They have been calling me for over 6 years now, seriously! They are collecting on a hospital bill that happened to someone with thesame first, middle and last name. I dug a little bit deeper and the hospital bill was for a surgery about 10 years ago that I supposively never paid. I made the mistake of answering one time and spoke to a lady and I explained to her that I have documentation that I have never had surgery in my life. She said something like..they've been ask to collect on this and their record show...blah..blah...It was so irritating!!! Do not bother answering if I were you. And if you really did have back debt, they've already ruined your credit, not much you can do about that now...

I have no idea who they are. They will not identify the company. If they can't tell me their company name I will not return the call. It should be mandatory for them to have to identify themselves if they expect to collect anything.
