I got a call from them and boy were they rude! When I said I was on a long distance call and couldn't talk the guy asked me to switch to my other call and ask them to hold! Then when I said no the guy started questioning me as to what I meant by a long distance call. The nerve of this guy was amazing!

I am on a "no call list" so how did they get thru?

Usually calls in the evening and no one is there, empty line. I'm getting real tired of this almost every night.

Actually, they--Kansas Highway Patrol--do call to solicit... And once on their list--or any police dept solicitation list in ks--it's nearly impossible to get them to quit calling. They farm out the soliciting to 3rd parties...  and, unfortunately,  organizations requesting donations are exempt from the Do Not Call List.

It sounds like this number is a call center number with some requesting donations, some attempting bill collections, credit card calls, etc... so trying to get them to stop will be a headache...just don't answer.

yes they do - they call at night and on weekends - they will call and call and call - best to answer and tell them to stop - otherwise they won't

Just got another call from this number.  3rd time today.  This time there was someone on the line and he identified himself as from the Kansas State Troopers Association looking for donations.  Advised that I was on the DO NOT CALL list and he said it didn't apply to them.  Advised him to not call me again.  We'll see.  I would be more inclined to donate if they would respond when you answered and didn't call back over and over.

Get a call from this number at least twice a day.  Answer and there is nobody there.  Very annoyed.

no name - just the number on caller I.D. - if I answer no one is there - never leaves a message - what's up with this "no call" stuff?  thought no call meant no call - I am getting more calls now than ever!  more than tired of people calling MY home, interrupting MY day - if I do answer I will NOT listen to a thing they say!

After 3 calls on SUNDAY MORNING, I answered and gave them a warning......DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN! He said oh, wait a minute, oh...and I said again DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!

Same thing- I get up and answer and they hang up. Do not call should not mean call and then hang up.  Where is yhe states attorneys office?  I don't believe they are unaware...

No they do solicit by phone but the thing is you can live in one county and the money will go to someplace hundered's of miles away.  Do not trust them.

Called this evening and asked specifically for my husband and started his spiel about wanting donations for the Kansas State Troopers Assoc.  We have an unlisted number, how did he know what our names are?  When my husband told him we give locally, he hung up on him.

It seems to me, considering todays electronic miracles, these people can be tracked down and hanged!
