Most likely random dialing. Or that they are programmed to go down a digit per number.
Like from xxx-xxx-1234 to xxx-xxx-1235 and so forth.

Got a call offering a "free" home security system. First telemarketing call I've ever had on this number. Luck of the draw, I guess. :-) Now blocked. Won't be hearing from them again unless they call from another boiler room number. But I can block as many times as they have numbers.....

When I returned call, it said "Please press any digit to be removed from this list". I have no idea if it worked, as it hung up upon pushing 5....
