I just answered this call from Yonkers, New York. The lady never introduced herself or her company and simply said, Dr. John would like to send something to my husband and needed an email address. She acted as if my husband should be expecting something. I told her I thought she had the wrong number and asked who she was calling. She said, Dr. Damon, who is my husband so I thought it was legit but I wasn't sure. I asked for his last name and she said, Dr. John White. I asked her if she would like the fax number for our clinic instead and she said he preferred to email. I asked what she was emailing and she didn't know. (Hmmmmm) I offered to take a number and have my husband call her back and she hung up.

I've marked this number in my Contacts list as "Marketing Ignore" -- then I send it direct to VM when it calls.

I got the same thing - shows up on caller ID as "Wireless Caller" so it makes you think a friend/family member is calling you. I picked up not realizing what kind of call it was and also got the "this is your final ...."
To me that's a threatening call - like you'd better do this or ....
I've filed complaint with the nat'l "Do Not Call" as I have been on the DNC list for over five years and update it at least once a year (fat lot of good it does, though).

It is for "CardMember Services". Is sounds like a scam using the Federal Stimulous to "reduce" your interest rates. You have to have a minimum of $3k in credit card debit, your interest rates be over 12% and no bankruptcy in the last 7 years. They did not want to provide any information except that they represent Visa and Master Card for over 516 financial institutions and when I tried to ask more questions I was told that it didn't sound like this program was for me and they hung up on me.

Cell phone call this time -- how do these people get our phone numbers??? They started calling me on both home and cell phone numbers at about the same time, a few months after we moved, so someone supplied them with this info. We are, of course, on the Do Not Call lists, but since this is a scam, that obviously does not apply to this company. I also get text messages from scammers on my cell!

Taped solicitation to lower debts/bills. I pressed #1 and Zack answered. I requested our number be placed
on their "do not call list." 12-14-2011 12:01 P.M. PST.

Call from 914-227-5803. 2nd one today; the other was from (619) 279-1287. Answered and got recorded message. It was a phone scam.
Calling on behalf of Lowering Interest Rate on Credit Cards.
The usual "lower your credit card interest" crap.
This is so old, it stinks. I wish these people would get an honest job, or rot in prison. The phone number is probably "spoofed" (faked) so I didn't even bother trying to trace it.

I get calls daily. It's just a recorded message

I just received a call from 914-227-5803. The recorded message said this is my 2nd and final notice regarding my credit card rates and to press "1" to speak to someone. When I pressed 1 I was connected immediately to an operator who asked if I was calling about lower credit card rates. I said no and asked who they were calling for. She did not answer the question but asked how I was doing. I asked what company was calling and again who they were calling for. She did not respond and hung up.

Ok, I just got another call from this number. When my answering machine picked up, they hung up. I tried to call back but of course the number does not accept calls. However, I looked up the number and I found out it is a cell phone with service by Nextel Communications. It also shows the persons name and address. Go to peoplesmart. I think we should complain to Nextel.

Can't anything be done to stop these bogus credit card debt reduction telemarketers? It's not always from this number. I don't even own a credit card. Is there seriously nothing that anyone can do?

A friend of mine won enough money to go on a cruise. I decided today I am going to file a complaint every single time I get a telemarketing call. It takes 2 minutes.
Josh 2011-12-09 21:28:45 Unknown
Let go of your curiosity about who is calling. Only answer numbers with names that you know or numbers you know. Why have caller ID if you have no desire to ease your stress.
mo 2011-12-09 21:11:09 Unknown
they also call from 385-468-4668, 914-227-5803 and 773-449-5046. SCAM!!

These a-holes keep calling. One rep went on a profane tirad for 5 minutes. fun. Scum. Today I asked who they were with and click. can't a guy have some fun?
Reporting does help - I assisted in a large judgment recently with the AG. Turn them in. Educate your friends.
upsetting.

I just got this 'cell phone' call and hung up in the middle of the 'greeting'.
Jesse 2011-12-09 19:46:37 Unknown
The FCC and FTC ARE TRYING TO SHUT DOWN THESE PEOPLE. The problem is that they are using untraceable cell phones and many of the calls originate from outside the US. Then again you probably are a teabagger who just likes to complain. BTW....I do not know too many low and mid level government officials who are taking home GIANT paychecks and you are out of line accusing them of taking bribes. take your redneck right wing consiracy crap elsewhere.
