Anytime anyone with an Indian accent calls you threatening you or offering you something, you can be sure that it is 100% a scam.  Noting against Indians or Pakistanis, but that's just the way it is nowadays.  IRS will never initiate contacts by phone.  Almost all tax matters are civil matters and police are not involved.

They are in India.   Long-time scammers/extortionists.   Call blocker is your best bet.

Justin Hammer called from "Dept. of Financial Fraud & Investigation", "473 Jefferson St., Syracuse, NY 11230", regarding my case, that I had been defrauded/ scammed on 03-24-'14 thru. 03-27-'14 for over $30,000.00, and same person, who had scammed me as "IRS agent/ NJ Dept. of Investigation", which the true amount of money I had been scammed for was about $52,200.00 thru. "Green Dot MoneyPak", and "PayPower REloadit" Cash Cards. These people need to be found, prosecuted, jailed, and deported, because they are terrorizing people, and I am the rare case, whom was defrauded of over $52,000.00. I would like my money back.

This number 914 6127258 called me with heavy lady voice and leave message regarding for IRS issue, my wife so much worries about this and called here , called there and even called IRS.This is from Westchester, ny.Next time I will report to FBI.

I got identical message on 4/29/2014. Needless to say it is a scam by scam bags.

I think this is a scam from this number 914-612-7258, probably a crime ring outside US. I am reporting this to local police NYPD, FTC, FBI and FinCEN agencies. Scamming in the name of "federal criminal investigation department" is outrageous.

I got the same call.  Here is an automated transcript from my VM service:  "This message is not for Harold. Harold this is Sherry at the Beverly Sherry I think this is officer Shawn Marshall calling you from the crime investigation Department. Alexander Rose is Sherry I think the reason to give you the call is to inform you that we have received a legal affidavit a legal case file has been pressed against your name as well as your identity and there are three legal charges being pressed against you for not been really(?) sure yet the-being(?) to send a voicemail we cannot disclose the confidential details on the case. So the very soon you receive this message call me back and notify your sales. The number to reach me would be 9146127258 I repeat it's 9146127258. I wasn't sure yet(?) call us back urgently and notify your sales. This is officer Shawn Marshall and I'm looking forward to speaking to you."

I got call too. they actually called my home then called my cell. i didn't pick up that call but they left voice mail to call them back right away. i have called from private# but call was keep dropping. then i called directly somone picked up named officer Lawrance - when i was like WHATS YOUR LAST NAME? He got confused then hang up - i have called several times but they never picked up.

Today I received the fraught phone call from this number.
They are talking about we owe money to pay for the government.
And they are saying they are from United States federal investigations department.

This guy called himself as Shawn Marshall and left a message saying there is a arrest warrant against me and asked me to call him. This is a fraud call to extract money, I believe.

I received the same call today and it was Sean Marshall on the line. He said that i have three cases against me and if i settle before the arrests are made, i would be ok. I challenged him back and he actually hung up the phone on me :). I am sure he wont be calling again.

There's no way to stop the calls from being initiated. They are scammers/extortionists working out of India.

They pick on single women, single mothers, elderly and members of the immigrant community.

Just got a call like that by somebody named "Don Lawson" with a very thick accent possibly indian accent stating that I have an arrest warrant issued against me and that whether or not a Police showed up to my house this morning once or twice. And, then goes saying that stay where you at, we are coming to arrest , there is an arrest issued against you.

I was like, ok let me pull my jeans up and waiting for the police officers to come get me, MR. Lawson--smh!!

Same story here in Houston.  Got voice message from someone with a very bad accent and when I called to find out what's going on I got the same story.... that my husband has criminal charges against him.  They said they needed my telephone number to look up the case and when I asked what government office they are calling from they hung up.  Be aware of scammers!

Sounds like fraud call from 914-612-7258 saying officer Sandra Johnson -- gibberish. talking about arrest warrent, name and identify came up in criminal investigation.. all fraud.
Federal government does not leave message -- they always send these alerts/notification by mail.
