It's the Journal News. When you call the number back they tell you to call 1-800-942-1010 for infomation. I called the 800 # and reached a robot answering machine. Requested "Speak To a Representative" and waited and waited, in fact, am still on hold as I turned on my computer, found this site, and wrote this message. So far, only the Journal News advertizing recording is playing and no rep is coming on the line! Everyone who receives these annoying calls should call the 800 # to complain. AH, they just picked up and the woman has no idea why I keep getting these calls and said it's a glitch! I told her about all the complaints I found on this site and she said she would put my # on the do not call list.

they call 3 times a day  at a different time each day and never leaves a message

they wake me up andby the time i get the phone,  then hang up, how can i get it to stop??

Keep getting calls (2 or 3) from this number. When I pick-up, they hang up. very annoing.

Now that I saw these posts and learned who it was, I called the number back.  It goes to a recorded message that gives their business hours and instructions to either call an 800#, go on the web site, or call back during business hours.  I was going to call back during business hours and the number called again.  This time I answered it and a live person came on the line.  I told them I wanted to be placed on their Do Not Call List and was told it would be complete within 7days as they use a random dialing system.

they call, when answering machine picks up, they hang up and    don't leave a message. very annoying!!    I will NEVER subscribe to The Journal News, that is for sure.    What idiots!

I have received several calls from this number but they never leave a voice mail.

Received a call after they double billed me saying I wanted to renew my subscription which I had cancelled 2 weeks earlier.  It took 4 phone calls and one call to AMEX to get my refund.  


Very disappopinted in this company after being a customer fo r12 years.

They call, they never leave a message AND I paid off and cancelled the paper MONTHS ago!  Ugh!

this woman called with an awful attitude asking for the head of the household as I told her this was a private number and that she had the wrong number shed continued to say in a condescending tone that nono, this is the right number and asked for someone who did NOT live here. I proceeded to tell her this person does not live here and she said well this is the journal news and we're in your area i have a promotion in delivery, and i refused and she blatantly hung up on me. annoying. I don't want anymore calls from the journal news sales department. Thank you.

We received several calls from this number.  When we said "hello", there was no response and we hung up.  I called the number and got a message that I had reached the "telemarketing" department of the The Journal News.

I received a call from this #. When I answered, they hung up.  I called the # back and was connected with the telemarketing dept of the Journal News, a local newspaper.  

I guess it is a telemarketer making calls for anyone that will hire them.

So annoying, I get a call from them everyday, they never leave a message!

I believe this number refers to 'Chase.com Credit Card Offers' which is located in Purchase, N.Y.
