It's a call center for the March of Dimes.  If you call it back and press 1, they will give you an opportunity to get on the DNC list.   For some inexplicable reason tho, they claim it might take 30 days.  It really should only take 30 seconds but I guess they want a window of safety so you can't sue them too fast.
By the way, the March of Dimes has been calling me with their name on the Caller ID.  I called them back and they had the identical DNC process as did the Diabetes Assoc.
By the way, I do donate money to diabetes and other causes.  I try not to do it through third parties tho.  914 area code is just north of NYC

Got a call from this number and when I answered no one responded. If they call again they will be added to my no accept call list provided by my phone service!!

This number called me then let silence the line.  Rather silence than an telemarketer.

I got a call from this number if I was Mrs. Ivandick.

I thought it was a prank.

I believe this call is coming from the "march of dimes".

Saw this on several comments:Our number is listed on the registry.  So much for another government program not working.

Don't people know that charities, or any  company that you have done business with are exempt?

Called 3 times in one day.  I am on the Do Not Call list and thus did not answer.

Call is for donationsw. This call was for the MArch of Dimes. When I called back I got a recording saying they would call back, hold on for a few more seconds & you can be removed from their call list.
People- be pro-active and find out who they are..many times you CAN get removed from calling lists but not if you hide and ignore.  STOP being a victim and fight back!!

914-878-4929 calle at 8:30 i told them the person they asked for was deceased do not call anymore. ya pretty sick but, i am on the dnc list also. the government probably lost the list. i cant afford to give to charities except the susan g komen foundation. it saved my life an they don't bug the hell out of you. so hopefully they wont call anymore.

We get calls from this number every evening for a week around 7:45 PDT! The call disconnects before voice mail kicks in.  Very annoying.

I have gotten these calls fairly frequently. Since I have caller ID, I don't answer and they leave no message.

They have been calling for several days... I didn't pick up figuring maybe they would get the hint.. they didn't.. sooo next call, I picked up and didn't say anything... about 20 sec. went by someone said hello... I said hello then silence.. then they hung up.. I love it... I'm looking forward to the next call..

Tried to get me to send out letters to neighbors for March of Dimes.  I advised that I get things in the mail almost monthly and have one now that I plan to donate.  Caller asked me where I would be mailing this to as there are different cities and she wanted to make sure it would go to their location.  I asked the location and she hung up on me.  

This doesn't sound very good for the March of Dimes.

annoying to say the least.  do they get paid to waste the charity's money?

I received a call from this phone # today.   When I called the ph# back I received a message that said it "We tried to reach on behalf of the March of Dimes".  Since it is a Charity it is not covered under the DNC list.

Call the police at the White Plains NY station and file a police complaint for a person calling for money.  

Or, get a private number to cut off the dummy who keeps calling.

I called the number to find out that they were fundraising for the March of Dimes, whom I support.  I did contact the March of Dimes and ask them to discontinue using that telemarketer as there is never anyone on the line when I answer it.  It is only disrupting my days and nights with continued calls where no one is there when I answer.  Please contact the March of Dimes as I did and ask them to discontinue the use of this means of solicitation as it is clearly not getting them any donations when no one is there to solicit for them.

I got a call from this #914-873-4929....the 1st was 11/04 (told the male that I was not interested & hung up) thought that was it.......NO! I have since received 5 more calls, the last was this morning @ 8:06 AM. Was not sure what to do until I saw this, so thanks. I did call the # back and pressed (1) so HOPEFULLY NO MORE CALLS!!!!!

It is from the March of Dimes, all mechanical, automated, if they call on your cellphone it's a 'reportable' breach of the law

Been called too many times to count. However, called last night 2X within a minute and hung up no msg. Called this AM at 8:35! No msg. Where do we go to stop this?

I am so relieved to know this is not some crazy person - this number has been calling me multiple times a day for WEEKS, never leaves a message. I have been trying and trying to find out who it was - very disturbing. I made a donation to March of Dimes a while back; it is a shame to think that this harassment may now cost them donations. What is WRONG with these organizations; when will they realize NOBODY appreciates telemarketing???

very annoying. calls 3 or 4 times a day, every day.  how do you stop these type calls?

I got a call from this number and no one was on the line.  I'm glad that others took time to tell us all about whoever it is that is behind the number. Some say its sales, others a fundraisig outfit.  I really do not want to be bothered.
