This caller has called my number more than 18 times in the past 2 weeks.  They are saying they will hook you up with a HVAC company to service you heating and air conditioning systems.  When you call the number back, noone is ever available to talk with you.  You are expected to just leave your name and number.  I have left messages to stop calling me, but the calls continue. This is very irritating!

File a complaint with the Do not call reg - this is the only way they will stop.  I choose the option to speak to an agent as they are calling me 1-3 times a day....what can I loose?  So you can get a live person if you choose to try that route.  Doubt it will help but at least I tried

They need to start making the phone provider company partially responsible for this crap. Maybe if they couldn't get phone service they wouldn't be able to do this.

First, this number is through the provider Pac-West Telecomm, Inc. their contact number is (877) 626-4325. Please call and complain!
Second, register a complaint to the Do-Not-Call registry. If you have not already registered you home, and cell phones please do so. there is no cost, but it may not stop all calls, but then again at least you will have to file a complaint.
Third, but hardest of all (at least in my area) is file a complaint to you local law enforcement agency. Maybe, Just maybe someday the will track down this idiot and cut his/her you know whats off!
I have blocked previous number making the exact same call, but after the first five block there will be fees.
We can't win any fight if we don't put up our dukes!!
Good luck to all.

Illegal robocall from reduce energy vendor who mentions PGE & SMUD to sound legitimate (even if still violating the DNC and FTC no robo call rules) who really wants your identity and credit information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, DO NOT PRESS 2, IT ONLY CONFIRMS YOUR NUMBER IS ACTIVE.

Robodialing is used to dial all numbers within a particular exchange within an area code.

These lowlife are almost certainly spoofing their number; i.e., the call back number won't work, and they are more than likely not in the Sacramento (916) area. Number changes to discourage complaints.

Hung up when asked why they were making illegal calls.

If you are on the DNC list get a call and want to try and make them to stop, make a complaint with the FTC, here

Here is the Florida counterpart of these scum, which has already triggered an enforcement action ---

Florida sues firm for Do Not Call list violations
Firm faces 62 counts of violating Do Not Call list

May 2, 2011|By Susan Salisbury, The Palm Beach Post

In a move aimed at stopping the incessant "energy audit" telephone calls that have plagued thousands of Floridians for months, the state has filed a lawsuit against United Energy Solutions Inc. and nine individuals for violation of the Florida Telephone Solicitation Statute.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam said the lawsuit was filed Friday in Seminole County Court and the defendants are being served today.

The Longwood-based firm is charged with 62 counts of violating the state's Do Not Call list. Each count carries a fine of up to $10,000, Sterling Ivey, spokesman for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, said today.

"We're also going to move for an injunction to prevent the business and the nine individuals from operating," Ivey said.

The lawsuit was filed after a yearlong Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services investigation into numerous complaints about potentially illegal sales calls. The state worked with investigators, private energy providers and local law enforcement agencies in the investigation.

Consumers said the callers posed as employees or affiliates of Florida Power & Light Co., in an attempt to sell goods or services. The salesmen then set up appointments for appointments for energy audits, and upon arrival, inspected the home and offered repair services for equipment that they claimed would reduce energy consumption and generate savings on utility bills.

Salesmen allegedly used automatic dialing machines programed with prepaid cell phone numbers to disguise their identify, making it difficult to identify the callers.

"The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is focused on protecting consumers from harmful and deceptive practices." said Putnam "Floridians are not only agitated by, but have also fallen victim to, incessant sales calls offering goods and services under false pretenses, and we look forward to a positive ruling as our case against Unlimited Energy Solutions is heard in Seminole County Court."

Consumers who have received calls from so-called energy auditors or solicitors may contact the Consumer Assistance Call Center, 800-435-7352 (HELP FLA).

Marlene Santos, FPL's vice president of customer service, said the company received reports from thousands of consumers and worked with the department, customers and law enforcement to help stop the relentless solicitations, which used FPL's name and trademarked logo without authorization.

"On behalf of our 10,000 employees and 4.5 million customers, FPL wishes to thank the state and local officials who worked for many months on this operation," Santos said. "While today's action is great news, we urge our customers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious calls or visits."

Some of the calls purported to be "an important message for FPL customers." The callers claimed to be with "Power Savers," "Energy Conservation Group," and others.

FPL schedules home energy surveys or other energy-efficiency programs only at a customer's request. All FPL employees carry a photo identification badge, and FPL contractors carry either a contractor badge or work order letter
