THIS IS A SCAM!!   I receive one call... did not answer.  Two minutes later, the same call, supposedly from Apple, Inc.  When the answering machine picked up, the caller started his phony speech.  He said he was calling "Bill" ( my husband has been dead for 5 years) and that the apple care line went dead when they were talking, so he was calling back.  He started talking about how to rotate the screen, etc. but I ended the call.  THIS IS NOT APPLE, it is a SCAM for sure.  DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!!!  My guess is they are trying to gain control of your computer, and that is NEVER good!

AppleCare for a job

thhis number called me saying they were from apple.They got my MEID number, Serial Number, the person that was supposedly from apple we VERY RUDE!! didn't know what they were talking about.  Very strange

Just received a call from this number. I did not answer, as apparently the person who had my number previously has racked up all manner of unpaid bills and has at least one illicit drug connection. I figured it was something else of the like. The number re-rang almost immediately. This time I picked up and a man asked for "Jordan." He was polite when I told him there was no one here by that name. Hopefully, that's the end of it.

Got 2 calls in a row from these nuts, very early in the morning. I didn't pick ... i've received similar calls from other numbers in the recent past. When i google these numbers they ALWAYS show up on sites similar to this one, indicating that many others have been called from these numbers as well. Wish there was a way to put an end to this cr*p.

got a call, never gave my number. but i do use apple, not my cell though. they called once while i was at work, left a message saying that they would call back in 10 minutes. 7 minutes later, (this is between 11 and 11:30) again i get them calling. that message is scheduled a better call back, i called back around 6pm, and got a loop of the system. no operator for 0. i do not like how easily tracked we have become.

Got a call from Apple.  The message said thank you for contacting apple about support.  But I didn't contact them for support.  They are calling me on my number without my permission.

It is Apple tech support for MAC & Apple products.

Edit: I checked my phone logs and a few months ago an Apple employee (specifically, in Apple Care) called me using this number.

I just received a call from them but I didn't pick up in time. I called back and I got stuck in an infinite loop with their messaging system "Avaya Messaging" because I didn't know the mailbox number of the person who called me. I could not tell if the number was affiliated with Apple or not.

Apple called saying that we got disconnected. I asked her what name was on the account, she told me my name was, being when I answered the phone and gave my name. My name is not on the account, its my wifes name. Sounded like she had a 3rd grade education and very ignorant. No way a company could have pathetic sounding employees. I traced the address of the phone number and will be making a trip.
