They are mean. I was served and I called right away. I told them I am disabled and couldn't make it to court because I have to go in a wheelchair and I had no bus, money for, me nor my son who would have to push me. I also didn't have gas money to pay a friend to take me. They did NOT care. So they kept going on, with, proceedings in court. Then this Saturday I get a letter saying my bank, account was levied. The only money in there was our rent money. They wiped out my account, and not only  that, but the two checks I wrote for my utilities bounced and now I owe the back 112.00. And the bank says if we don't pay in 45 days all that  money, then it will go to collections. My husband lost his job 5 months ago, and I'm disabled and fighting, a case to get ssi.  are mean people  don't care. I have a child who we may now have to live in our car with. I feel so distressed, I just wanna die. No wonder people are taking emory own lives over this stuff.

If you find yourself harassed tell them you are recording them, make sure you do record them, & say they are to cease & desist all verbal communication. The end. No more calls. Please be aware they can not only garnish your wages but levy your account. It is best to set up payment arrangements before any of this happens.

Debt Collector

They are being investigated for their illegal collection activities.  If they call, first get a name, address and a "call back" number.  Some of the collectors in his office are using front phone numbers to hide where the calls are originating from.  Second, RECORD THE PHONE CONVERSATION.  Yes, it is illegal in their collection practices and not only the attorney, but the staff can face ramifications. Get the information and file a complaint with the FTC and Attorney General's office.  If a company cannot provide a statement -  THERE IS A REASON.  They must provide a statement if they are collecting money for an account.

I have been paying Sipes office for 6 months and can't get a statement to see my balance and to find out they're charging me 26 percent interest. I was 4 days late with a payment and called them to pay it just to be told they are suing me for lack of cooperation, and I made the payment. So now what. How do they sleep at night?

That is good news. I have been paying installments to them on a debt I owe. I was recently four days late and called them to pay only to get yelled at and threatened although I called to make my payment. I made my payment and they say they are suing me still. I have not been able to get a statement from them either.  Plus they say they are charging 26 percent interest. Is that legal? I have never heard of anyone being charged interest on a collection debt, it's the amount owed only.  I need help because all of these payments and my cooperation in this matter are seeming fruitless.

I read all this a few months ago when i got a call from this company... i laughed it off told them i could pay and proceded to ignore calls... all i owed was 1500 or so on an old credit card my ex wife charged up... well they found my job called me there and i told them the same thing cant pay...wont pay talk to my ex... well last week a process server came to my job and served me with law suit papers... i call immediately... i was told my bill was now over 2500 dollars and to stop suit i had to pay it all at once...my time had run out... well i talked to a lawyer and looked for every reason to sue them... turns out i cant they broke no laws... found out they can start calling you at 8 in the morning and keep calling you till 9 at night... also found out that michael sipes is a real guy been suing people who owe bills for 20 yrs... s*** sux...now i might get a garnishment for 25% of my check... so my advice is work out something or your crap can be messed up like mine is... did my research on how they got my acct from wells fargo and i guess they buy bad debt and collect on it or in my case sue... watch your backs if yopu owe it pay it or file bk cause they WILL SUE YOU!!!

Got a call from them tonight. It went to voice mail since I get telemarketing calls all the time. They left voice mail and the guy could not pronounce my last name and says to call them back by this evening. I'm in EST and they called me at 8pm so not sure about that.  Was wondering if they are a real law office or are they just a debt collector.  Went to the site Pheonix Native left and will not load.  Can't even find a website for the law office.  Thinking they are not a legit law office if there's no website.  Figured if they got my cell # then they most certainly have my address they can send me something by mail.

They call my number frequently and never leave a message so this time I thought, what the heck, I'll dial them back to see what happens.   Someone actually answered!  A very polite guy answered and responded that he was looking for someone.  I said I didn't know the person and that he should leave a message rather than just hanging up.   He also said that he would remove my number from the call list.  We'll see what happens.    I advise calling the number back to see what or who you get,   be polite and play stupid, they might just stop calling.   Say that you just moved to the neighborhood and Verizon assigned you the number.  They recycle them all the time so it's no surprise you get calls although most of the time I suspect most people really are in debt.  Like me!  good luck collecting suck wads!.

This is a law office the people who are calling are not lawyers but they are collectors they arent collecting your information they are calling due to a debt that was sold and the office has purchased unfortunately they are not a very nice bunch of people some are complete hardasses who think threats work everytime... now on to cease and desist the letter can be found online and mailed in but with that they still have 3 times they can contact you via mail or phone and considering they are in California and if you are in California they can put a lien on your home and a levy on your bank accounts they are legit company they just seem not to professional at times...

So we (my family) have been getting calls from this guy named "Francis" repeatedly over the past month. When we pick up, he tries to get us to confirm information, normally starting off like "Is this (my dad's name)? and I reply with no. So he says, okay so this must be (my first name). I am only 15, so I get a little freaked out, how the heck does he know my name? He tried to get me to confirm some information (dad's birthday, address, company name..) and I refused to tell him. I told him my parents do not like me to give out my information, but I can take a name, number, and a message to get them to call back later. I took his information and wrote it down. He asked me to read it back to him, I did, and he hung up. I only googled  his name because i was freaked out that he had MY information. My mom called him back on her cell phone, and they argued for 10 minutes before she hung up on him. I suggest no one picks up when he calls, and report this number. He is a fraud.

They are not a law firm. They are a collection agency. Collection agencies now call themselves 'law firms' to scare you. You can ask them for their address, and to this address you send a CEASE AND DESIST letter. This letter can be found on the internet by googling it. Once they receive this, they cannot call you again.

They just called me & left a message entirely in Spanish which I do not speak. The only thing I could understand was some of the numbers (ocho, ocho, ocho, must have been leaving phone number). I never heard my name mentioned, maybe they had the wrong number!

LOLOLOLOLO  I am tired of people calling from this 916-478-6795 every day of the week, even after 6 pm pacific time (very odd) only to hang up on me so when it happened today I called right back and asked who they are and what they do, the white youngish male American voice proceeded to ask me for my number and of course, my smartass says I cannot give that it's a privacy thing so he hangs up on me.  I call right back again, same white youngish sounding male American answers as if he knew it was me, I immediately ask what it is that they do and he then tells me they're a "law firm" and I can give him my # LOL......my emotions took over and I yelled, "STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!" into the phone (I have a nice, sweet voice it's ok ;) and then hung up.  A55wh0les they are!!!

This number calls my cell phone at least 6 times per day, when I answer they are very rude and will not tell me who they are or why they are calling me.  They just keep asking questions about me, which I don't answer.  If they can't tell me who they are, then they can't expect me to give them personal information about myself.  The won't stop calling.  I stopped answering the phone, but it is so annoying because they call and call and call.

I acknowledged that I owe money but do to an near fatal back injury! I am now on disability. They wanted to talk to my lawyer, which would be the Public Defender. They now call every day. They are threatening to take legal action but the hospital and all the operations cleaned me out and left me broke!

They are way out of my jurisdiction and how can they get blood out of a turnip!

This is a boiler room, if you ask me. No ethical lawyer would harass someone who has no money and is receiving assistance from the government to stay alive.

They call our firm and leave long voicemail messages for someone who does not work here, and they say that if we stay on the line we acknowledge being this person. Well two things. We won't be hiring that person. And, it is illegal to leave personal information about debt collection on voicemail. ANYONE can listen too it. You folks go get 'em. We'll be filing.
