Got a call from this number Sunday evening nearly 9pm.  They left no message.  I called it back using *67 to mask my caller ID and got a recording stating that the number was no longer in service.  I have not posted anything to CL lately - so it does not 'fit' the other comments.  HOWEVER - since they leave no message, and don't seem to take calls back, I've added them to my magical call reject list!

Wow. I just posted a craigslist ad, and gave my phone number to an "interested" buyer. Within hours, got a call from this bogus number. Really a stupid waste of time.

I also just placed an add on cl and minutes later got this caller couldn't understand her I thought it was someone trying to buy from mycl add...cl should look into this....

I got a call that took 20 minutes from my cell...  Scam scam .. Wish I can put my old shoe in her throat.

Same thing. I didnt answer, but there was a lot of cb like noise in the background and illegible mumbling left on voicemail. This happens every time I post ads on craigslist with number. ridiculous

I received the same call and do not pick up.  But thanks, this is a great tool to utilize and will be reporting them to the do not call list.

Interesting, I generally do NOT put my phone number on Craigslist, but I also got a call from this number after placing a CL ad that included my phone number.  a$$holes.

Just got the same call. It's Direct Buy. They try to get you to visit one of their phony "showrooms" and pressure you to pay thousands of dollars to join a club to supposedly save money on material when you remodel your house. Total scam.

Alright, no response to my query, so I won't be checking back here anymore. Never mind.

Oh, I should mention the only reason why I even picked up these calls is because I'm selling things on Craigslist, and thought the unrecognizable number was an interested buyer. I've had cell phones with area codes from other states call me because of Craigslist ads, and they were legitimate buyers who had just moved to California and hadn't changed their number yet. This is the first time in 5 years of selling things on Craigslist that putting my number in my ads has been a problem, so I removed my number from all of my ads, and re-registered my cell with the national do not call registry, which I think I had allowed to lapse since my last renewal. Otherwise, I never would have picked up the phone for a weird-looking number like that.

For two nights in a row, "Crystal Travel" called me to offer me some "VIP" open house event with some airfare offer. It was a woman with an Indian accent. I wasn't paying much attention because I wasn't interested, and new it was probably a scam, anyway. I yelled "I'm not interested, this is a cell phone, you're eating up my minutes, stop calling me." Last night I received a call from this number, which I'm assuming is Crystal Travel again, even though they never said where they're calling from. There was a lot of suspicious loud noise in the background. I said "Hello?" twice, and then a man with an accent that sounded Indian said, "Ma'am, can you hear me now?" And I said, "Yes now I can." Then he said, "Good, because the purpose of this call was to get your [mumble mumble mumble]" and he immediately hung up. I tried calling the number back, and of course got an operator recording saying I've reached a number that has been disconnected, because it was fake. I called my cell phone company to ask them what they think, and all they said was it sounded suspicious, but didn't suggest I change my number. I checked my usage, no suspicious activity, thank goodness. I know there's no way to know for sure if the Crystal Travel calls and this call last night are connected, but I suspect they might be. Any help anyone can provide, even if it's just to say they've had the same thing happen and to let me know if anything came out of it, so I can take the necessary action as a preventative strike, would be appreciated.
