Duct and carpet cleaning solicitation message left yesterday by this number on a cellphone whose number I only give out to relatives and doctors. This number has long been on the donotcall list, but in the last month or so, has been getting similar seeming robocalls possibly related to a Sunset Beach Florida fraudster's scams concerning a no septic/no sewage, seeming McMansion erected 9 years ago next to my dad's house in the Chicago suburbs. When I received this particular call, I was talking to his brother on another line, and it was between visits of self-identified salvage contractors at the never-occupied house next door, which they say is scheduled for demolition next week. I received similar duct and carpet cleaning robocalls on this line from 732-833-2944 on August 12 and 301-328-8997 on July 23 after posting here about scam calls received on other lines. I've never used a carpet cleaning service; and only once used a duct-cleaning service (in Virginia 7+ years ago). Neither I nor anyone in my family has ever lived in NYC or its suburbs. It may also be related to  703-634-4569, 703-354-0645 or 727-269-5708 which I received on this line in June before the fraudsters appealed the Illinois demolition order.

More low life identity thieves, frauds, scammers, liars, etc. using a variety of phony computer-generated numbers and tie-lines.  This number came up as Cleaning Services, but has been used in the past for a variety of educational and college related scams, plus prizes if you pay them a fee up front via credit card or electronci transfer from your checking account.  The latter are the worst possible things you could do, as they will steal hundreds and thousands of $ from your accounts.  Beware!!  Other numbers used by these lowlife, in addition to the ones cited above are 703-555-5555 and 732--833-2944 with the same theme. In my household and business, as well as many others, if an incoming call is not identified as to the person or business, it will not be answered.  The number for a persistent caller of this nature will be programmed into our call blockers.  It is assumed that all improperly or incompletely identified numbers are from the increasing number of scams, frauds, tie-lines, etc.  This is why everyone must contact their elected reps in DC to demand they significantly strengthen the DNC laws, providing extremely severe dollar and prison sentences for violators.  This is an opportunity for Congress to actually do something useful for the country, not just pass gas and throw spitballs at each other.  Any business must be properly identified on Caller Id, not hide behind Not Available, Private, Unavailable, etc.  There must be a new scam and fraud being generated every second out there.  We need call control, not gun control!

Mine come from many different numbers, but it is all Career Institute.  You don't have to sign up for anything.  It's a computerized "robot."  They randomly generate phone numbers, and when a legitimate one pops up, it dials.  That's why they are all recordings.  Card Member Services is NOTORIOUS for this.  Now I have both calling on my CELL PHONE!!!!  Ugh!

Really...dozens of notes about educational solicitations and your caller sent you a credit card...kind of makes one wonder if someone is using a Magic Jack or spoofing software, and it's a con, ya know?

This web site is not connected to the company who called you.  It's a way of letting others know you have had a nuisance call.  There is no point in asking for the calls to stop.  Just report them to the FCC...

My unpublished and DNC registered mobile was called by [917] 398-5568.  An unsolicited call from a number/organization with whom I have never had any dealings.
The number area code is in NY, NY.
I ignored the call.  If I receive another call I shall report it online to the FCC via their usual web site form.

That's the best way to deal with these a***oles.

I read somewhere to never say your name or say yes or no. They may record your voice and use it to confirm information such as credit card, online orders. . . and so on. As I have done and straight out told them um not interested and would answer with a "ahuh" or  "nah".

Please quit calling my cell phone.  It costs minutes and money and I don't appreciate this.  I have this phone for emergencies and this is certainly not an emergency.

A Nathon answer said he was from a career center.  It took me 10 minutes to get his name, he kept asking for a Donna.  I gave him a run for his money, after 30 minutes of messy with him I set the phone down and walked away and let him talk to himself!  Maybe he'll get the point since this was the 37th call from him in 4 days!
And for the Do Not Call List, it does NOT work at all!  What a waste of time!!  don't even bother with that do not call list it doesn't work.....

I received a call from 917-398-5568 saying they were responding to my inquery about online classes.  I got their number and their Customer Service Dept. and talked to them about th.eir phone calls and they gave me a time and a computer (IP) address as to when(they said)  I inquired.  I informed them that I had not, and do not want any contact from them and they said they would take me off their list and put me on a "Do Not Call List".  Later that night, I received another call but there was no one on the line after I answered after the first ring.  I am in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a Complaint.  The Customer Service Dept. number that I called was 1-888-361-6348.  The business was located in Lehi, Utah and the Company used the Name of Career Institute.
