yeah they keep calling my mom and says if she doesnt make a payment they are going to sue her does anyone know who this is

They called twice - the first time claiming I owed over $1,000 for unpaid magazine subscriptions, but they would settle it for me today for only $400.
Missed the second call. Caller was very rude.

I keep getting harassing calls from a girl named Amar she ia rude b***h that keeps saying I owe for some magazine subscription that I have never had. I told her to send me a copy of the bill and she said they did in April of 09'. I told her I never received a bill and that i was not paying her a dime. I asked her if she was from New york and she confirmed she was at that point i became very enraged as 5 yrs. ago I got scammed by a similar company and they started taking money out of my checking acct. about 380.00. I had to contact the BBB in New York and my local police dept. Do not I repeat give them any info. I tried to have the number blocked through AT&T but it wouldn't work as they have many numbers. Report it to the police and they will tell you where to go online to report a claim.

Same thing happened to me, probably a scam.  Told me I had unpaid debts, but we dropped some knowledge on her saying that due to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you have the right of the supposed "debtor" to request a written statement and to stop calling/harassing your home.  (And if they call again after you said not to, you have legal right to take action)

The caller was also very rude, saying "well what are you going to do about it today?" and things like "I don't have time for this."

Called several times in December  saying I owed for some magazine but couldn't tell me which one.   Finally said I owed over $900, still with no information.  Called again today , asked for me and hung up

several times a week, getting nasty calls from these people claiming I owe for magazines.  I have not ordered magazines in 15 years!  They say that I'm an irresponsible person for not paying my bill.  They will not give me their information.  When I challenge them, they hang up on me, but then call back the next day around the same time saying the same things.  I want this to stop!

Claims I owe them for magazines from 6 years ago, said my credit card number had changed  that they had been direct billing me

Claimed I have unpaid magazine subscription fees and requested immediate payment.

Here we go again! I swear these people are such losers! They called me yesterday and I'm sure they'll start doing their usual annoying calls about how I owe them $1500 for magazines I never even ordered! They can call until their fingers fall off, I've already reached out to the authorities.

No problem ;-) Just validate the debt properly as per the FDCPA and you might get paid.

They are starting again. I haven't heard from them since February when I told them, "You are full of ****!  I called the Reader's Service and you are full of it!"  I've got their number blocked and they can continue to call until "Hell freezes over!"

these idiots are using a landline based out of montauk ny and cell phones from 917 and city numbers. I am persuing this with an attorney to get these morons to stop,. one of the numbers is 631 238-8505

Called 9176689395 twice today and of course no actual person picked up the phone but I was able to leave 2 voicemails. Amera, Cynthia, Stephanie..I'm STILL waiting for the paperwork! Here's a new update regarding USA Collection Agency.. I called 411 and got some information regarding USA Collection Agency being based out of Massena, NY. This company DOES NOT EXIST!!!! The gentlemen I spoke with gave me the only collection agency located in Massena, NY which is Capital Collections. I spoke with a very nice woman named Juanita. Not only was she very nice but very professional and helpful. I gave her some feedback about this SCAM. The company she works for is Capital Collections and they HAVE NO AFFILIATION with USA Collection Agency. She gave me the rules about how a debt is collected and what a CA Rep is allowed to do and say. Amera from USA Collection Agency hung up on me when I asked her for her business address. They have pissed me off so much that I am determined to let all of you know any new information that I get my hands on so no one has to continue to deal with these low life loser scammers.

Amera @ USA Collection Agency claimed this agency is based out of Massena NY. I checked Massena and Messina, and what a surprise there is no USA Collection Agency in either city!!! Keep pressing these people for details!! They hang up! They know they're getting caught in their SCAM!!! And if any of you losers are reading this and you know who you are Amera, Stephanie, Cynthia, Michelle, Joshua and Michael, everyone knows what you're about!!! LOSERS!!!!

I got a call from the number too and they told me they were USA Collections Agency and told me I owed money for magazines I supposedly subscribed to from National Readers Service in 2006.  They stated my credit card stopped working and that I owed money.

They asked if I knew what they were talking about and I said no.  I told them I haven't subscribed to magazines in over 10 years.  The person then asked me if I was "[Correct First Name] [Wrong Middle Initial] [Correct Last Name]".  I told them they had the wrong middle initial.

The person then apologized and hung up.  Be careful with these people as they either aren't fact checking before making these calls or they are scam artists.

Based on the number of reports here and elsewhere it appears to be a scam.

Receiving daily calls asking for "Buffy".  When I tell them she doesn't live here, they hang up.  When I ask who is calling, they hang up.  When I call the number back, I get a filled voice mail box.  This same routine starts and stops periodically.  It has been going on since 2004 when I got my phone number.

When contacted by a collector, take as much information as possible from the caller. Ask for the name of the company, address, the caller name, fax and phone number, amount owned, and the name of the creditor who passed your account to them. Also, tell them you expect to receive a notice in the mail concerning this debt. The last step is very important because you need to have proof of the debt in question in writing.

I'm determined to bring these jerks down!!!!

What a debt collector CANNOT do:

Use deceptive practices. For example, threaten you with arrest or  trick you into paying for collection calls.

Use obscene language.

Call you at work after you tell them that your boss does not approve these calls.

Deny you the right to receive a written notice (within five days after your first phone conversation) that would tell you how much you owe and the name of the creditor that says you owe the money. If you do not receive the notice within five days, call the collection agency and ask for its address and fax number. Then, send a letter to the collector noting its failure to send you the required notice. As a minimum, make a note in your file.

Refuse to give its name and the name of the collection company when asked.

Put a debt on your credit report if you file a dispute. It must validate the debt by obtaining a verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment from the creditor before continuing their collection efforts. The results of the investigation must be mailed to you.

Did they tell you that a past due notice was sent to you in April 2009? They don't have any recording and they can't threaten your credit rating nor can they tell you that they'll take you to court. Legally, they are not allowed to do that. If they call you back, which they will, ask the caller for their full name and their supervisor's full name as well as an address and call back number. This so called collection agency which is bogus as they are non existent on the internet started calling most of us on this website around Deecember. They give the same story to everyone about the amount they claim is owed. Ask them for actual paperwork to be sent to you. They tried that on me several times and I have repeatedly told them that they need to send me the paperwork before I will send them any money. USA Collection Agency is a BS company, I have had the number traced and the call is coming from Woodside Queens in NY.

Calls received from this number at least 5 times.  Caller claims that they have a recording confirming and agreeing to a subscription that has been unpaid for some time.  They threaten to ruin my credit unless I pay them over the phone for the unpaid portion of the subscription.

I have been getting calls from this no. for more than a month.
The first call, I was asked If my daughter was home, and I said no.
I was then told that she owed 1600 dollars for magazine subscriptions.
I was dumb struck.  I know for a fact that this is not true.
Who the h--- do these people think they are.
Ever since the first call, the do not speek when I answer.

These people keep calling my phone number too, and I'm guessing and I know that two other people had the same phone number, now when I call back it goes straight to their voice mail too.  I have turned them in to FTC.
