i reiceved the same call that I have a charge againist me and they were going to come and arrest me they had all my personal infomation they have been calling since dec 23 2013 every month they changed  the name of angecy and who they are and phone numbers.i have filed a piloice report and I am looking for what or who i need to report this to  

Got a call on my cell from an "emergency number". Heavily accented man told me that my name and social had come up in a criminal investigation. Gave me a case number and said I needed to call federal agent "Johnson" right away at 917-965-5900. Didn't sound right so I came here to check it out.

Your caller id is most likely spoofed information. All the illegal callers, scammers and extortion scammers use CID spoofing. You can not rely on CID as proof that is where the call comes from and if you look up to the top right, this is actually a New York City number.  The last thing these people want is for them to be easily tracked down and arrested.  The other bottom line is also the fact that scammers, frauds and extortionists have also used real peoples names and their business names to try and convince folks the scam is real. Things like this get real people nasty calls they do not deserve. I've seen real attorney's names used and abused and even a known person in a small town whom I know personally had his name used by a CCS telemarketer.

This Agent Johnson from the Department of Justice appears to be one busy guy. First of all, the call originates in Big Rock, IL (thank you caller ID), not the same area code that I am to call back. Second of all, he appears to be calling a LOT of people. Third of all, he sounds like he's from India somewhere (so Johnson being his last name is dubious at best). Just to be sure, however, I checked with my employer, who just happens to be at the local police department, and they confirmed that it was a SCAM. And, here I was waiting to be arrested at my work.

This man is scam artists he called my mother and left a voicemail stating that my mom owes the Department of Justice  750 and if she doesn't pay they will have the sheriff come and arrest her at her job I called him and went off they should be a shame of their selves

I got a call from a heavy foreign speaking man stating that my social security number has been identified with illegal activity and he left the number 917-965-5900.  He said if I fail to call him back I will be arrested at my home or place of work.  LOL... I wonder if they realize that my Criminal Justice education is paying off and they are really stupid.... I feel like calling them back and letting them know that my father works for the state police and I seriously doubt he will come get me for them...lol

While working on a PBX late at night, usually there's no traffic this late. I saw this number dialing into one of the customers conference lines and googled it - found this site. The conference lines prompt for a PIN. The caller never entered one, and eventually the call timed out and hung up. Odd.

I suspect this is someone using a dialer. This call was well after 10PM ET - obviously well outside of acceptable hours for any type of business call.

Recently I received a call from this # from a Don Wilson. He said he was from Financial Investigations & that I needed an attorney right away for a criminal investigation against me, blah, blah, blah!  He called me on my home/work #'s & I told him to quit trying to scam me & to lose my #'s.  I also reported him & his # to the Better Business Bureau to shut him down!

I got a call that sounds the same as all the others posted here. What made it really bad is the call had woken me up and my brain was all fusy so when he treatend to have me arrested for fraud it scared the crap out of me.... I am not a person who would do well in prison so I would have done almost any to get this case off my back.....But when he told me that this would all be over if I gave him my credit card number something clicked in my head......I am not a legal mind but I don't think you can stop a fraud charge over the phone with your credit card...... This is a scam

And with that accent there is now way his name was Mr wilson... it probly is kumakary or gupta or something like that...... unless his mother married dennis the menaces neighbor

I have received many calls from this number and the person says he is going to have me arrested if I don't pay x amount of dollars...frist I was scared but then read some of the other blogs...sounds like a scam to me....I just want them to stop calling...

Left a message saying it would be in my best interest to call Don Wilson back at 917-765-5741 that there was a criminal investigation against me, hes also called my work harrassing my boss and harrassing me at home several times.

This communication is in reference to a Mr. Woodson aka Mr. Wilson.  He is continuoulsy calling this worksite (Aaron E. Henry Head Start) for an employee.  After being told the employees here are not allowed to have phone calls while at work, he called back about 5 or 6 times making harrassement remarks.  We asked him to leave a message to give the employee, after so many times trying to explain to him the policy but he would not listen.  I want this to stop immediately!

This guy called my cell phone saying I better pay $1500 or he will have me locked up. I told him that "I am really nervous and just soiled myself, but it felt really good". Before he could get a word in, I invited him to come over and take a bath with me. He said "Shut the hell up" and then hung up on me. What a complete schnauzer d!*k!! Bet he won't call back again though.

I received a call AT WORK and on my cell phone from a guy with a really bad accent.  I couldn't understand most of the vm he left me.  Said I was under investigation and gave me the last four of my social security number.  His name was John Smith.  ???   What a joke!!!

I received a call from this number (917-965-5741) from a man with a very heavy accent claiming to be from the Financial Crimes and Investigations Bureau on my cell phone AND at work!!  I was so terrified that I called the BBB as well as all 3 credit bureaus to file a complaint.  From everything I have found, this is a SCAM but I am unsure how to proceed to get the calls to STOP!!
Any advice?

Received a telephone message from an a Mr. Woodson/Wilson  (speech unintelligible) claiming he was from the Financial Crimes and Investigations Department.  He stated that he had information regarding a legal matter with relating to me.  He further stated that he had my personal information (address, phone number, last four of my social and email address) and that it was urgent that I contact him regarding this matter. Additionally, I heard various voices in the background, which made me think he was calling from a call center.
He concluded his message with "Have a Blessed Day".
