With a spike in out of area calls lately, despite being on the do not call registry, I guessed this caller was a telemarketer or a scammer so I did not answer the call.  The caller hung up after a couple of rings.  The caller did not leave a message.  Out of curiosity though, I did redial the number about a minute after the call to see who would pick up.  The recorded message said that the number that I dialed was not a working number, which confirmed my suspicion that the caller was either a telemarketer or a scammer.  After a phone number search, I found that the phone number shows up as a landline phone out of Tahlequah, OK with Southwestern Bell as the manager of the 431 exchange.  Another search for that number shows the phone number belongs to Amanda Thetford at 998 N Grand Ave., Tahlequah, OK 74464.

Called offering a free GE home Security system.  When told we were not interested, she wouldn't stop trying her pitch, even after several attempts to get her to get off the line.  Finally just hung up.  We are on the DNC (which is worthless).

We have had several calls from this number, which appears with an identifier of V5131329080 in the last few months, but I usually just let it go to voice mail.  Wife answered first, or I would just have ignored it.  Will add it to my call blocker (again).
