Do you know by chance if either of the other numbers were 919-301-0754 or 919-278-7660?  All three of these numbers just started calling me within the past week.  All are the same thing, no one speaks and then a hang up.

I keep getting calls from this number but nobody ever says anything when I answer.  I also get voicemails and there is no message.  It's really obnoxious and I would love for it to stop.

Ditto on the silence and hanging up - 3 calls from them just this morning.  Have gotten similar calls from 3-4 other 919 numbers in the past week.  Ugh!!

Yep, I just got a phone call from this number literally two minutes ago. Answered and they said nothing. Then I hung up and called back and it said the Verizon customer you are trying to reach blah blah blah....Irritating.

I have also gotten two calls from them today.  I answered and only got silence, then a hang up.  Will try to answer one more time as I have just figured out how to block a number.  Does anyone know how, if you even can, report these things?

I've gotten two calls from this number today. Both times I answered and said "Hello, this is [my name]," but there was only silence and static from the other end of the line. I repeated "Hello?" and then they hung up.

Earlier posts say it was News and Observer sales. I did recently let my subscription lapse, so if it is them, that would make sense. But it's very frustrating to get repeated hang-up calls.

This number has called my cell phone twice today so far. Both times I answered and said "Hello, this is [my name]." Heard only silence and static from the other end. I repeated "Hello?" Then, both times, they just disconnected the call. Very frustrating!

They called my office as well, but you can't call the number back.  What is the point.  No we have waisted our time to post these notices about a number that is unknown.  We should block them.

I just got a call from this number on my Chicago business line. I signed up for the N&O newspaper when I first moved here and remember giving them my Chicago number on that carbon copy sheet because my Raleigh number wasn't ready. Somehow someone must be getting a copy of those signup sheets because all Raleigh contacts now dial my 919 number not 312. I called it back and got a fast busy tone. It must be an internet based phone they are calling from.

I just got a call from the same number. Missed the call and tried calling back but it said "we're sorry your call did not go through".  I get so sick of all these random numbers calling. I will try to answer it next time and see what I can find out. Just a scammer no doubt. They are thick as ever now, always trying to drive people nuts!

They've called me several times to sell me the News and Observer. They offer a deal if you order and pay over the phone. When I asked for a number to call back, they quickly said they would call back and hung up. I contacted News and Observer and they knew nothing about the special that was offered.

When I went home at lunch, I had two "messages" on my answering machine from this number...but there was no message. When I try calling the number, I get a fast busy.
