"Hi, uh, this is John from the shipping department of Emergency Medical Alert, I was calling to uh schedule a delivery of your medical alert system, it's uh the "fallen, and I can't get up" type of system you've seen on TV. Looks like the system's been uh recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals, uh, let's see, says here that the system's already been paid for. Looks like you're getting the system because uh either yourself, a friend, a family member or maybe even someone you know has experienced a fall in the past so uh again it's already been paid for so there's no cost to you whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping has already been paid for so to uh schedule the delivery of your Emergency Medical Alert System press 1 uh again to uh have your system shipped out to you press 1 now...press 5 to decline the shipment of your system."

I get the same call. It's always John from the shipping dept. I've been approved blah blah blah. The do not call register is been outsmarted by these  con artist and apparently we're at their mercy.

Stop these harassing calls PLEASE!

Have received a dozen calls within the last few weeks.  One might think they would have learned by now we're not picking up what they're putting down..

John has called repeatedly with this medical alert notification and at all hours. Please stop as this is very annoying.

I called the number listed above and a guy answered "Hello".  Told him I was looking for Instant Response Systems and he said I reached a private residence and hung up.  I also looked up the 718-339-1277 number, you are correct, it's a business listing for Instant Response Systems...

3rd call received from 1-919-659-5636, Cary NC.  It's an automated message for a medical alert thing...  3rd time I pressed 1 to get an operator.  Told them that our number is registered on the Do Not Call.gov listing.  She informed me "that is irrelevant, this came from a medical referral".  Told her to remove my number anyway.  I tried calling the above number back right away and got the "this number has been disconnected" message.

If they call back I'm giving the phone to my 3 year old!!

Have received multiple calls from these scammers... Next time I plan on yelling "Please don't bomb the white house." Maybe since homeland security is listening they will do something!

The person calling is from Instant Response System. Their number is 718 339 1277. Call to have your number removed. They're based in New York.

"John" from Medical Alert.  They call 7-10 times a week.  John can go to hell, as far as I'm concerned.

Call is a recorded robo call listing out of Cary NC.  919-659-5636 but if you call this number, it says the number is invalid.  "John" is an installer just calling to schedule an appt so it is trick because it is only a recording.  It is a robocall and there is a long pause between when I pick up and when he starts talking. It sounds like he's having a conversation with you, not advertising.  Later in the call it says to press "1" to reach the scheduling dept but when I did that, the call went dead.  We have had several calls.  At least 5 in the past week!  There are sort of "blank" telephone numbers that the telephone company leases out and they only work outgoing so that's why the call doesn't work when you call it back.  That's also how they are able to have an actual number instead of "out of area", which they probably are!  Why don't the phone companies still have a *69 block like they used to?

i just got one of these calls from this pesty company. No i don't need your crap or your crappy phone calls. i'm so sick and tried of these company bugging the crap out of me all day long.

John is a recording.  At the end, you are supposed to touch 1 to set up install.  I am trying to find out who the company is so I can report it.  It sounds like a real person BUT there is a long pause between when I answer and he starts talking so it is a robo call for sure.  Same phone number.  919-659-5636

This Emergency Alert Bracelet from the Emergency Medical Supply Company Shipping depart registers as being in "cary". They want you to give them your name and then your credit card number so they can "verify" you are who you say.

They call 3-5 times a day EVERY day now for weeks. If you call back, the operator tells you the number is disconnected or no longer in service.

This number keeps calling and calling- when I see the number now I do not answer. On ocassion when I didn't see the caller ID and I answered again no one on the other end but shortly thereafter I would a Private number call from John in the shipping dept wanting to send me the medical alert. We are on the National Do Not Call List--- someone needs to rewrite the legislation on that to put some teeth into to keep them for calling--- when someone is on the Do Not Call list - they don't want to be called-- leave us alone! I do nothing over the phone unless I have initiated the call. it is so frustrating!!

This is obviously a scam as no reputable company operates in this way.  I get daily calls about my medic alert system.  I belong to the AARP and suspect it isn't that hard to get numbers of seniors.  I'm not saying AARP gives out the numbers but clever computer people can get in.  Also for legit companies the equipment is cheap.  It's the monthly fees you pay that makes them money not to mention the "extras" I'm sure they would press on you if you were naïve enough to fall for their line.  If you don't have caller ID I recommend you get it and don't answer no matter how mad you get when they call you over and over again.  When you do they just sell your number to other scammers.  I know from experience.  The government tries but these scammers just change phone numbers and have all kinds of tricks to hide themselves.  The Do Not Call List is a great idea but it can't work until the web gets more secure.  Good luck out there   Also don't fall for the FOP and Firefighters charities.  I've checked and only 10% of the money collected goes to the charity.  The telemarketers keep the other 90%.

We keep getting this message.  We don't answer it because we have caller id, but they leave a message about someone having sent us the medical alert and we should press ? to accept or ? to not accept.  And also to indicate if we already have medical alert.  They say it's already paid for!   Supposedly, our friend paid for it!

Keep getting calls from this # and they don't leave a message.  Within seconds of receiving the call but not answering, called the # back directly and got a message that says: "We're sorry, you have reached a # that has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Please check the # or try again."  The caller ID reads "Unknown Name".

We have received several calls from this number - "This is John, er Jonathan from the shipping dept. of Medical Alert System and we are trying to deliver our system to you.  The package has been paid for....

Somebody needs to find this idiot and tar and feather him.

This number calls me several times a day...it is a recording.  I cannot talk to a recording...I want a live person.  I already have a life alert system and want this number to quit calling me.

Got another call from "John" about "I've fallen and I can't get up" scam.  This was a new number I hadn't blocked before.  I'll just add it to the pile.

This call is from a VoIP. Its all recordings, right down to the" this line has been disconnected" if you do call back. Its a disgusting scam targeting older people. Its not a business, so the Do Not Call list won't work for it.
