I am so tired of these phone calls. I guess the DO NOT CALL list is worth nothing!

These are NOT telemarketers. They are your collections from any of the cc's u owe.
They are spoofing there local numbers because never responding to the other numbers. They are claiming to sell stuff so they can make note in the system they have made contact on the other end.
DO NOTHING, DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS. They will stop in a month or two to new numbers. This is a new way they are approaching issues so they don't get hurt. BY LAW THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CALL YOUR OFFICE.
If it IS irritating, use GOOGLE VOICE. It will disconnect there end and block them.

They called no less then 12x , when I told them that they would be reported due to the No Call List, they said for $10 and a MC or Visa number I would be added to it.
When I asked to speak with a supervisor and what he name was, he replied that his name was A$$hole and that he would get his supervisor.

You may want to call the police about that one.
Fred 2012-01-27 18:45:08 Unknown
No message, and I'd love to find out who they are so I could give it back to them!
Jim 2012-01-16 12:46:06 Unknown
Call your local or state police to report the terrorist threat (overheard). Maybe the number will be, then, linked to a watch list.

I got two calls from this number. Both were at 11:01am (according to my phone). No message was left on either call.

Got a call from "Raymond" of Card Services... message said there was a problem on my credit report and to call so that he could help eliminate the problem. Gave number to call as: 888-301-1571.
I'm not calling... Nor do I want anything to do with folks like this... I have recently looked at my credit scores and know exactly the status. I don't need any help from them.
And, the number they called is on the "Do Not Call" registry... has been since the list was established. How can crap like this continue?
DoubleAughtCode 2011-12-20 02:41:35 Unknown
Argue, call it false...I dont care. I know what I learned and didnt thiunk just because it was the next day they stopped.

Okay folks...I know Im a bit of an old schooler but this is a phone jacking method. WAY BACK IN THE DAYS OF GERALDO when cel use was just begining to rise commercially, it was discussed how users can use software to mask their #, thats the deal here. The actual data on this number from ANY dBase ins inconsistent.
Do NOT call this number back. Do NOT answer. Forward numbers like this to your local law enforcement. Somewhere we got stupid, maybe with the convienence of everything, but its time to start treating our sensitve communication devices with the respect they deserve. If you gota call a number like this back cause you just cant stop yourself...go call from a pay phone. There are hacks being traded offline, as these crooks learned long ago they cant trade them on the net, and unless some of us honest smakers get involved its never gonna come out.
YES...your VoIP can be hacked thru a phone call and then gain access to your network. Your cel phone can have spyware (Im talkn old school phones) installed by you calling a number set up for such delivery.
pilot out.

Caller ID says Cell Phone WI, no message left. I like the idea of pushing # to annoy them right back! Thanks!

The purchasing names and phone numbers from credit bureaus and want to sell program to reduce credit cards' interest rate. They charge anywhere from 5% to 7% on the outstanding balance to negotiate some reduction. Most credit card offer similar program under their own in-house hardship program.
What is shocking to me, how dare the credit bureaus sell my name and part of the data which they collected? I have never authorized them nor I had any contact with them. I wish somebody could make them pay fro their indiscretion.

Call from Specialty Travel asking me to pay $139 for trip to Orlando including stay at hotel near Disney, free rental car or tickets to Disney, $500 worth coupons. I had let an offer expire but they were giving me one more opportunity to go. Represents companies that want to fill up rooms. Will never respond to offers from these companies.

Got a call from this out-of-state number today (I'm located in CO) at 10:32 AM reading as 'unknown name' on my caller ID. No message was left so I googled the number & came across this post. Not much to add, but just thought I'd mention it.

I received a suspcious call today from this number. "Suspicious" because it showed up on "Caller ID" as "Cell Phone WI". I don't have any friends who have a cell phone based in WI plus they left no msg. I never answer calls that are "suspicious", check out sites like this, and keep an ongoing list of numbers for myself not to answer. With technology being what it is these calls could be placed from other countries "using" numbers through internet lines (VOIP) They certainly don't have to be originating from the "920" area code which makes it really hard for the authorities to stop them.

Caller indicated he was Matthew Barker from Speciality travel about a vacation that had expired and wanted to speak with my husband. I took his information he gave me an 800# which i didn't write down and asked for him to call and ask for him as he was going to make sure he didnt' lose this vacation to florida and the bahama's i told him we have no vacation time to take a vacation and that we never bought a vacation- he said that he needed to talk to my husband about it. sounds like a scam from reading about speciality vacations

Amazing how many different companies use this number, according to all these comments.
For me, a courteous lady said she's calling form "Direct Connect" - a credit card processing service.

A little after 8 this evening, I received a call from a woman who identified herself as "Rhonda" with mumble, mumble company. I asked her to repeat the company name and she got nervous. Finally, she said she was with "VMS" (never heard of it) and said that I had won a home security system because of a survey I filled out with GE (did not happen). I told her I was not interested and she got pushy ("what if there was a fire or your house was broken into?"). She asked me to listen to her spiel and I agreed just as long as she realized my answer would not change. When she sensed she wasn't going to win, she got annoyed- pushing for another reason other than the one stated. At last, she asked if there was a friend or family member I would be interested in passing on my security system to. I told "Rhonda" I couldn't think of any at the time. *Sigh* What is the point of the Do Not Call list if calls like these still get through?

Recieved call saying they want to put a new roof on house. Not even in area and live about 800 miles away from location of call.
