This number keeps calling everyday, on my message machine I always get:  This call is for C. A. Martin, If this is C.A. Martin say yes.  They claim that they are from Silver Script, but they never leave a message, they always want to talk to me directly.
I do have prescription insurance with them, but they could notify me by mail when the send my bill.  I feel like they want to sell me something, so until they leave a message or notify me by mail, they can just keep calling.

Received several calls from these people claiming to be from some "Children't Leukemia" organization.  They call us around 5:30 p.m. - great, love being interrupted while I'm cooking dinner.  Finally told the last guy that called that we are not interested and do not give to ANYONE calling our phone asking for money.  After a few words, he apologized.  Hope they don't call back again.  Seriously, anyone who hides behind some # call be anyone looking for $$$ is probably not reputable.  On caller ID:  GREENBAY WI 920-471-4506.

This # has been calling me for a few weeks. Today I answered the phone without checking the id, it was this # again. A very friendly girl said my first name. I said that she was not here and asked to take a message. Friendly girl hesitated and then asked if there was a Mr. X, that time she used my last name.

Caller chose not to leave message.  Very rude and unprofessional.

920-471-4506 says green bay, wi on caller ID yet they are calling for the leukemia society in New Jersey? Scam! I argued with the woman that I was on the national do not call list but she said they were non-profit. Why call from Wisconsin for a New Jersey organization?! SCAM!

Sometimes I think these calls are from different numbers but with same intent to try and scam. They seems to change the scam pitch!

Have they stopped calling?

It's just a phone call.  Simple solution.  Don't answer it.

After I answered, there was a pause and then a female said "Hi, (my first name)!" (like she was a personal friend).  I asked who was calling, and she said in a perky voice, "This is Debbie!"  Since I don't know any Debbie, I asked what she wanted.  She started out with "I'm calling for the Childhood Leukemia Foundation..."  I immediately said NO and hung up.

I normally don't even pick up the phone for numbers I don't recognize, but this only causes them to keep calling back every day; so I thought I'd try answering for a change.  At least I've wasted a minute or two of their time.

Called, hung up when it went to voicemail, left no message.  Unknown number to me so I didn't pick up.

I never contribute to "professional fundraisers" because they rarely give more than 10% of collections to the charity and I wouldn't support this charity because of their conscious reliance on such an inefficient collection method.

[they] Well, my information might be wrong. My name is Laura and I'm calling you today on behalf of the Childhood Leukemia Foundation in Brick, New Jersey. This year the Foundation is delivering gift baskets to sick children that are in cancer treament centers and these baskets have some really great things like toys and games, there's pajamas and even a $75 gift card inside. What we're trying to do is help lift their spirits as they go through their cancer treetment. I'm with Innovative a professional fundraiser and we have not mailed out anything to you yet. We want to make sure we can count on your support for a tax deductible donation. Most are helping with our Gold sponsor at $35 and Silver sponsor at $25. Can the children count on you for one of those?

[me] Uh, this is for children with leukemia you say?
[they] Yep, yep and we're, we're raising money for the gift baskets that I mentioned and also in addition to that the Foundation provides human hair wigs for the children who lose their hair during chemotherapy treatments.  

[me] Uh, yes, I think I can contribute to that.
[they] Ok, would you like to do the Gold for $35? Or the Silver for $25?

[me] Uh, I'll, I'll go the Gold.
[they] I'm sorry, didn't hear you?

[they] The Gold for 35? Well that's very generous, now can I get your first name?

[me] Awright.  [you can hear me taking a deep breath]
[Records dept] Thank you for holding, are you comfortable with the 35?

[me] Yes I am.
[Records dept] (she verifies my address, asks if there's any "apartment or post office"?)  Ok, um, you'll get it [pledge card] in about three days that's just when we ask you to send it back, ok?

[Records dept] All right, thank you so much, you have a nice evening.

They started calling on 3/10/14. I did not answe the phone and they don't leave message.

I phone this number and a recoding stated we will call you we don't care if your number is on the do not call list.

Love that response. "Speaking." If I ever accidentally answer one of these calls, that's what I'm going to use! Thanks.

I have had the same phone number for 20 years.  The amazing thing is that these CRIMINALS (that's exactly what they are) have not called me before now!

Not to worry - they are now blocked - forever.

Buy a call blocking phone or device.  They work and they are inexpensive.

920-471-4506 called this morning; caller ID read Greenbay, WI.  I let it ring; no mssg left. From the info here, as I figured, it's another telemarker/scammer. *Sigh*
Give to charities, but in your own city; ones that are legal, registered & you KNOW of. Or you can go to their actual office & drop a check off; or even a local fire station (toys, canned goods). Never do a phone charity, period.

Phone rang and machine picked it up.  They hung up.  

I have received this call from "Green Bay, WI" several times.  I've never answered and they never leave a message.  I'm sure they don't want us, because our household roots for the Chicago Bears.

Received a call at 11:43 A.M. Feb 7, 2014 for a donation for baskets for children ??? They are sending me out an envelope for mailing $15.00 to their cause.

Called on 2/3/2014. Went to voicemail, no message. From. Green Bay, WI

The call was from Green Bay, WA..............did not leave a message.

They're back:  The non-tax deductible "charity" with Green Bay, WI showing along with the telephone number.    

Don't call the number back...it's how they run around the "Do not call" laws.  Also, do not give $ because very little, if any, will go to any charity as most, if not all of the money, goes to maintaining this "administrative" system.  



 

Don't answer these calls.  Got a call the other day, same scenario.  Caller ID shows city and state name, person answers, caller asks if you are you by name, then says nevermind and hangs up.  Obviously calling to confirm your name and number are still active. Why would you answer a call that says a city is calling you? The other day, on a different number it showed up as San Diego, CA (619-819-7073).  I checked the number here and it is exactly the same as this one. Today, Green Bay, WI.  The 800 notes on the San Diego call said the same thing, that its a charity calling for donations (leukemia, etc.) That's bull. A legitimate charity will show it's actual name in the Caller ID.  It definitely wouldn't use multiple numbers with the names of cities set in the caller id.
