Of course the number was disconnected and I got the same bul$%^t excuse about her using dial-up.  I am shocked this is going on without any law enforcement doing anything about it??  I contacted paypal and let them know - I just hate to even imagine how many people actually send their merchandise!

This guy is a nut, and is clearly getting away with a lot of our money! 718 549 6498 is the number he gave me.

For anyone out there using pay pal or selling online on sites like craigslist...Always log into the OFFICIAL pay pal site....never log in from a random link/short cut...
Also, Pay pal has its disadvantaged...
If a buyer contacts you and send you the money, they can turn around and say they never recieved your package, meaning you have to send it back.
This just one reason why I don't use it anymore.

Having a money order or postal check is always the way to go...always make sure you have your cash in hand first! Always make sure the buyer pays for shipping insurance, and ALWAYS speak personally to them before EVER sending them anything!

Same story, different day. I posted an ad for a ring and Brutt responded. I am getting used to this scam. They are always buying for a family member and it needs to be shipped. You can almost tell it is a scam by the amount of mispelled words.
I had another one from a lady who wanted me to ship to Nigeria. She never paid PayPal of course and then threatened to have the FBI come after me. I turned her in. Her name, is linda udesil and the email address is "delinda4u@hotmail.com". Avoid her if at all possible too.

Yes....I too just got this email from her!!  As I thought it was really weird!!  Scammer absolute! I responded back to contact the Arizona police department and send the $$ there!

This guy is a definite scam artist. I posted an advertisment on craigslist and he wanted to purchase the item without asking any questions about it and didn't try to bargin at all. I thought it was strange so I googled the name and telephone number that he used and I found this site.  

So I pretended to go ahead and see what he would do...WITHOUT giving him any personal information! He told me he would pay with paypal (because that way you will think he is honest) but the payment never cleared (of course). He tells you that he will pay with paypal and he will have a "pending" deposit into your account but it will not clear! He hopes you will trust that the pending payment will clear and send the items. Watch out, if someone wants to buy your item without asking anything about it and they want to pay extra for shipping or have "their own shipping company that will come pick it up" BE AWARE! Do not give out your address. They may even come rob you if it an expensive item.

Doesn't it make you sooo mad! How dare he try to scam me, good thing he is too stupid and we all knew he was up to something!

Just to update folks - this dude is still active. Exact same email as Craig above about the brother in NJ, dialup no phone etc. I got suspicious when he was asking for next day FedEx shipping on a product that weighs over 50 pounds and was going to cost him $250 to ship that way, but he persisted. He was crazy if he thought I'd ship before the funds showed up in my Paypal account, but hey, I guess he gets some folks. Wonder if Craigslist can do anything? Note that he gave this shipping address - in case anyone googles for that info...

JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOU GUYS, I HAD MY 1.5 RING ON CRAIGLIST.  I RECIEVED AN E-MAIL OF INTEREST FROM BRUTT JOHNSON ALONG WITH A NUMBER TO CONTACT HIM. (920-626-4475)  I CALLED IT AND COULD YOU BELIEVE IT WAS DISCONNECTED?  WHAT A SHOCKER!(NOT REALLY)  THAT WAS MY RED FLAG.  I INFORMED HIM THAT I DID TRY TO CONTACT HIM BUT THE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED.  I KNOW WE CAN'T SEE EACHOTHER THROUGH E-MAIL, BUT HOW STUPID DID HE THINK I WAS?  HIS RESPONSE IN A SECOND E-MAIL WAS, "I USE DIAL-UP SO IT WON'T LET THE CALLS GO THROUGH."  WE HAVE ALL HAD DIAL-UP AT ONE PIONT OR ANOTHER SO I KNEW HOW IT WORKED.  ANYWAYS, JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE THE INTELLIGENCE OF A CRIMINALS MIND! Got the same one myself (sanwomi98@gmail.com).  Looked at street view on Google Maps and asked for description of his dwelling to see if he is giving a valid address.  The more info we can gather the better.

I just got the same scam fro Brutt Johnson.  Thought it to be very fishy and never gave info but did write back to him.  I hope nothing comes of him having my email address.
