I'm late to the party but a Lafayette CA. call was calling my mother and when I would answer the phone
they would hang up .
So when next they called me I said in my sweetest little old lady voice, hello ...the young lady
on the other end was surprised when the voice she thought was a sweet old lady, that she could con
into another 500 dollars worth of magazine subscriptions, turned out to be a highly pissed off man .
I told her or any one from the scam house they called a company to stop calling !
 I did feel slightly sad that I was that angry , and she seemed very shaken up .
Then I thought of my mother and how embarrassed she was at being conned into 500 dollars worth of magazines . what dose a 76 year old lady need with a subscription to bicycle world , or modern bride .
or the 5 other mags I have to lug out of the Po. box just to throw away .
so may that young lady rot she knows she,s ripping old folks off . I hope she gets payed handsomely
for her soul .......

...so I called them back and after 1/2 a ring a prerecorded message states "sorry,  no-one is available to take your call, have a great day". At least they're pleasant....=)P

Have recieved calls for this number on a few occasions. No messages and as soon as you pick up they applogize, "sorry, wrong number"...how do they know that...they never ask to speak with anyone specifically....just plain odd...

I've received two calls from this number in the last week.  Did not pick up either time, and the caller did not leave a message.

other forums suggest may be a possible hacker trying to verify your number so he/she can make purchases on your account (i.e. amazon.com account). check all your accounts esp if you have an amazon.com account. 858-368-4699 maybe same thing.

I just got the same call. Woman said sorry wrong number as soon as I answered the phone. Like you said how would she know... all I said was hello. I too am on the Do Not Call list.

second time I have received a call from this number. 9:27 am PST. first time didn't answer (10 days ago) at about the same time, I called the number back and got one ring and no one on other end.  this time I did; no one on other end

Phone call from this # rang once then disconnected. Prob a scam DO NOT answer and report the # to FCC. They will answer your complaint!

This number showed up on my phone, no message left.

I got a call from them just now, but I didn't answer. They actually left a voicemail. In the v/m, a woman with an accent said my first name (it sounded like she almost sung my name), then there was background noise of a call center for about 10 seconds, then the call disconnected. Probably a scam.

Same thing just now.  Sorry, wrong number, bye.  I can understand a misdial, but this sounded so rehearsed as soon as I answered that I had to look it up.

Got a call from (925) 298-6038.  Do not want this call.  I am on the no-call registry

Got a call on my cell from 925-298-6038. five seconds of dead air and they hung up.

I got a call from this number as well. Around 1:15 EST. No message left.

I just moved into the state and missed a call from this number. I have only been giving my number out to girls here so....

I never answer the calls from people I don't know. No message & I believe  by reading others remarks (Sorry wrong number) they are either phishing or trying to scam you in some other way. Is there a way to block these calls? Who in their right mind would do business with anyone who operates in this fashion?I just want them to stop!! Especially, Credit Card Services. I don't need them.

Never answer unknown numbers. If they know you, they'll leave a message.

I got a call from this number, 925-298-6038, too. From Lafaytte, California. A female voice on the other end immediately said she had a wrong number. Story sounds familiar.
