I got calls from this company everyday for over 3 months, I finally answered and it is a travel agency. Apparently they got my numner from some sign up thing at the Mountain View Art & Wine festival, according to Tisha on the other end of the line. I graciously told her no thank you and please don't call me again and I hung up. Get this, she calls me back to TELL me, in a less than appreciated tone, that "I" put that number down NOT "them" so don't get upity with her. WHAT?! What kind of customer relations nightmares does this woman cause on a regular basis? I tried to call back to complain and the mailbox, you guessed it was full. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I am pleased to tell all of you that I FINALLY got some resolve to this annoying company today, after some serious research and digging. It is a company Called Real Vacations, although when they answer the phone it is answered Polaski Tickets and Tours. I found a hiring ad on Craig's List and called the number listed and asked for a manager (925-726-7796). I reported an abusive telemarketer that called me (another story in itself) and requested she be removed from the phones, and the company NOT to call me EVER again. The managers name was James. So if you're tired of these guys calling you, please, please, please, give James a call. He was very polite, even tho I did give him a pretty stern warning. GOOD LUCK PEEPS!

We received the same targeted mailer directing us to call to claim free RT airline tickets and a free week-long rental car, in the same manner as others who have posted here.  We called the noted number and reached a "marketing" enterprise in Arizona, "Perfekt Marketing," which pitched us to attend a 90-minute seminar at this travel office.  The opener (Sierra) and the closer (Kay) mentioned several restrictions associated with the plane tickets, and none with the rental car, outside of attending the seminar.

We attended the seminar, where we were given a hard-sell by a team of representatives to buy into a travel program which would turn us into travel agents and make us eligible for reduced-cost travel packages.  We politely endured the presentations and, near the end of the 90 minutes, requested the round-trip tickets and rental car.  The representative then sitting with us reluctantly provided us with two highly-restrictive vouchers, and asked us to sign a waiver which, among other things, disavowed any reliance by us on the representations used by the "marketing" company to get us to participate.  When I explained to the representative that the only reason we attended was to claim the plane tickets and rental car as described to us by the telemarketers, the representative was miffed.  He saw nothing wrong with the travel agency attempting to get around the promises made to us on the phone.  We refused to sign the waiver and left.

I read through the voucher certificates given to us.  There were MANY restrictions on claiming both the plane tickets and the rental car which the telemarketers had not told us about, which effectively made the certificates useless to us.  I researched the issuer of the rental car certificate, VIP Travel in Florida.  Apparently, it has a history of refusing to redeem the certificates if all of the previously-undisclosed requirements, right down to the need to conduct correspondence by certified mail within a very short turnaround time, are not scrupulously followed.  Separate "deposits" for each of the plane tickets and the rental car were also required.  You can see where this is going....

I called the telemarketers again.  Kay assured me, for example, that she had not been instructed to include a disclosure of the $75 advance deposit to claim the rental car in her pitch to us prior to the time of our initial call, and seemed geuninely apologetic about the additional, previously-undisclosed restrictions imposed by VIP Travel.  She seemed stunned when I told her that the travel office tried to get us to disavow the content of her previous sales call with us.  She said she would report these discrepancies to her manager.

The manager (Tom) called me two days later.  He tried to rationalize the various discrepancies and saw nothing wrong with the travel office's attempt to get us to disavow the representations made to us by his telemarketing firm.  The owner of the telemarketing firm was equally adamant that both his business and the travel office had not participated in a deception or otherwise done anything wrong.  One of the things he made sure to mention was that, because they were in Arizona, they could freely tape our calls without authorization from the remote party.  Is this the kind of operation you want to do business with?

To this moment, I cannot understand why ALL of the restrictions could not have been read to all of us unsuspectingly pitched -- except, of course, that, if they had, not many would participate in their promotion.

Times are tough enough without having to worry about businesses which talk a good game but do not deliver as promised.  Don't part with your hard-earned money or free time:  wherever you might live, stay away from Perfekt Marketing in Arizona, Pulaski/Hallmark Travel in California, and VIP Travel in Florida.

I tried what Karry said and I spoke to someone named Josh at 925-726-7796.  He sounded surprised that I had asked to be removed and that the calls kept coming.

He explined that when you use one of their touch screen registration that allows them to contact you even though you are on the Do Not Call (DNC) list.  I said that may be true, but when I asked on several occasions to be removed from their list, they were obligated to remove me.

Bottom line, answer when they call, do not verify any info for them and ask them to add the number they called to their DNC list.  Be sure to not the date and time you spoke to them and get the person's name that is calling.

Good luck!

I work with Pulaski Tickets and Tours and no it is not a scam. Don't enter to recieve a trip if you don't want to be called about it. I agree, nothing is free, but all that is asked is 90 minutes of your time in exchange for a Hawaii package. Not interested in our travel club? That's fine, you still recieve the trip for your time.

Hey everyone. Just to let you know I just finished working at this firm. Yes, they are annoying. The gig actualy vacation thing is legit though. you have to pay the tax on it which comes out to abotu 40 bucks a person but the package sounds expensive but its not. Flights are form south west and bought in bulk and dirt cheap. The hotels give rooms to fill that would be empty anyway. The whole thing costs them about 100 bucks or so. They get say 50 couples in a night. $5K. Their estimated "sell" % is about 30% each membership package they try to sell ranges from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. The margin is good. Its annoying, but not much of a scam just inventive selling.

OK, they've also called our cell a few times in the past week. My husband finally called and said that he won a trip to either Reno or Las Vegas. It was a drawing from the Alameda County Home and Garden show at the fairgrounds. They told him that they will send him an email with the details and that it needs to be picked up today 3/18/09 by 7:30pm in Concord... Well we still haven't gotten that email...like the previous posts this sounds like a scam...hmm i think i'll try to do some more research on this place

Two calls on Sunday PM. I tried to call them Monday AM, "voicemailbox full"
They called back; it's "Pulaski Tickets and Tours" in Concord, CA. (They got my number from the Sportsman's Expo at the San Mateo Fairgrounds.)
The offer is for airfare and lodging, or lodging and $50 gift certificate for meal.
I looked around, and there is NOBODY that raves about how good this is... but many of the customers felt they had been scammed.
Federal Trade Commission ( www.ftc.gov ) has no record of this biz. So buyer beware - If it sounds too good, it probably is!

Received another call from this number. They have called each day this week at between 11:00 and noon.

I haven't filled out any of those "Win a Car" promotions at the malls (or any of those other "Free vacation" scams) so I am not sure where they got my cell phone number.

(925) 429-4750 calls my cellphone on a daily basis. They never leave voicemails and when I try to return their call to find out who they are, I am greeted with a voicemail message that tells me that their inbox in full and not accepting new messages. My cell number is part of the "Do Not Call" registry and I would appreciate them not calling me any longer.

They've got your name during the auto show at Moscone Center last year. You must have filled one of those promotional ads that were staged on the floor. I did it and I reget on filling one of those ads.

Just started getting calls from this number this month.  I don't answer because I don't recognize the number.  They don't leave a message.  It's very annoying.  It's obviously not important if they don't leave a message.  I'm going to check the Do Not Call registry and report them there too.  I hate these kind of companies.

Received two calls - two days in a row.  Answered second call.  It is the Pulaski Tours.  Told them I was on a do not call list and not to call again.  (Also received a postcard in mail from them stating we could get a few 2 night, 2 day vacation).  This is a service you need to join to use their services.

I keep getting calls from this number. Multiple calls every day since last week.  Whoever it is never leaves a message. Except the other day, he spoke before hanging up.  I hit ignore on my cell phone and what was recorded on my voicemail was a man saying "but you will answer", before he hung up.  I am registered on the do not call list.
