this guy called me jan 17th and left a voice message saying this is grace simmons from some attorney's office claiming that if i dont give them a call with in 24hours its on me and demanding ill be arrested or brought to justice.

This is a debt collection scam. They cannot collect funds or arrest you, regardless of whatever claim they make. They currently use a fictitious name of "Nelson Martin" at the ?State Fraud Investigation Dept? using an Arizona area code (928) 339-3392 x593, this number routes back to India (or whatever location from which these worthless dot heads are operating.)  If they can't provide you with proof of the debt - you are under no obligation to pay it. Additionally they demand payment by a means in which they WILL NOT provide a mailing address - they are required to provide you with a mailing address, as well as that of the original creditor. With the exception of the IRS, NO debt collector can legally threaten you with arrest, or jail time if you are a U.S. citizen (even if you are in the country illegally, so you can relax too illegal immigrants).
Just keep telling them they have to provide you with valid proof of the debt and a valid mailing address and they will not contact you again.

also if you have a adnroid cell phone there are several apps to block scam numbers check them out in the play store i have one call caller block bot it is awesome!! installed today!!

They called my work and left a message that it was a emergency that i contact them back so i called and they told me my social security number and all, well the last 4 numbers we have done been victims of identity theft before please somebody tell us who to report this too, they are threatening to arrest me i am a gas tanker driver to dangerous for me to answer phones for bull like this but i have to answer all calls my wife has 3 stage cancer and i wait for emergencies from her!!!

i got a phone call from this man saying I need to call a attorney call him or else ! if I don't return the call he said good luck ! and he said his mane was Justin smith too thanks guys for the headsup

Same call I received. My guy said he was Roy Cooper, also saying Advance America was the one pursing this. Also I will be going downtown tomorrow.

This company called me and told me someone is filing a lawsuit on me, they even contacted my employee.The saddest part is that these foreigners have your information, we need to report them to the fbi. By the way he identified himself a Greg Stiffler an attorney.

call my house for some person never heard of and when told them they have the wrong number demanded to know my name. I hung up and they  called back and I answered them with an air horn.

I also received several calls from this number. They are very aggressive. Also while I was on hold another call clicked over saying Emergency Only. I clicked over and another foreign person said they were calling from my local police dept and they were coming to arrest me. I notified my police dept about that......I realized half way through it was a scam ...these people are very sly and I could totally understand how people fall for this.  Told me some attorney's name but gave me two different amountsvi owed.

I just recieved the same phone call today. threatened to lock me up and send police to my job. have you heard back from them?

The same thing happened to nee. When I asked were they bonded in my state to correct a debt, he said NO! So I told him to have a representative in my state to provide me with a copy of the affidavit and he said, he couldn't and someone would pick me up tomorrow at 11 to arrest me! SCAM

Scammers trying to scare people to give them money. Watchout for this number 928-339-3392.

They called me about 11:30 telling me that they were going to have me arrested if I didn't pay them a curtain amount of money. Saying that Advance America was the one pursing this.

I got a call from "State Atty General's Office" last week with the same scam; today I got a call from "Justin Smith" (took him a while to say his name -- I guess he forgot who he was).  He said he "got a claim against me" and it's extremely time sensitive.

The last idiot got his number posted to adult chat website.  Maybe I have to do the same to this guy.  

These people are relentless.  They call me  several times daily, saying there is a case against me.  We need to stop them.

Ignore the calls - your caller is a scammer.  Real attorneys do not call and tell you you're being investigated and then give you a heads up that you'll be arrested.

They called me and told me they were having me investigated and that at 11 in the morning I was going to be arrested.  he said he was an attorney and that named Dwight Stiffler...WHAT?

People call say they are from a law firm with an allegation against me    Sound foreign  We need to stop these people
