This # is back at it again. Now at 12:30am. I did not answer. No voice mail. Ugh. From Denton,TX

RECEIVED CALL WHEN I ANSWERED IT WAS JUST DEAD AIR. I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK IT TOLD ME TO HOLD FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE AGENT. THEN IT TOLD ME IF I WANTED TO PLAY TRIVIA FROM MY PHONE TO PRESS 1. IT ASKED ME TO DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES (I DID NOT DO IT) THEN THE LINE BECAME SILENT AND THEN A RECORDING TOLD ME TO PRESS 1 REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR CALL LIST. I DID NOT DO THAT EITHER AS IT WAS THE SAME OPTION TO CHOOSE FOR THE TRIVIA AND I FELT IT WAS A SCAM TO TRY AND GET ME TO AGREE TO THE TRIVIA.

No caller ID on this one (my phone said NOT AVAILABLE - OUT OF AREA and he said 1st 6 digits (940 222) when I asked the number they were calling from, and had they heard of the DNC list.  He said he was with Windows and my computer was calling them and there must be something wrong with my computer...when I asked his name, the line went dead.

Been getting called from the (940) 222-0773 number on my personal Cell phone.
I have been ignoring the calls and added the number to my blocked list on my Cell.
Any Unknown number calling me phone always gets screened.
The caller won't even leave a voice mail.  I get 10 seconds of silence then it hangs up.
They have tried 4 times in the last 2 days to call my number.

Found this number on my caller ID.  Did not try to call it back, but took it to my boss, whose name is Roger Lewis, the name that should up with this number on the caller ID.  He has not been to Texas recently and did not recognize the #.

What a deusch bag, can't even maintain professionalism on the phone. When I asked what he needed, he responded with " no you, a***ole ". Desperate times calls for desperate measure, times must be that hard for idiots to get a real job.

Same as a few others-I was napping, machine kicked on and didnt leave message..I DID NOT CALL THEM BACK!!

I get calls for all kinds of "ODD" numbers.  When ask to talk to a certain person I have done several things.  I have told them the person is in jail, abducted my aliens and my favorite - I blow a VERY LOUD rescue whistle long and hard in the phone.  Usually don't get calls back from the same number again.

I got a call from 9402220773 and when I answered it they hung up. I called the number back and got a message that this is not a working number.

I get all kinds on my business phone and this number just called. I started doing something different now because they are so irritating. I answer with the speaker phone and if someone starts to talk I press nine and hold it down until they hang up, which is usually right away. I'm hoping this will make them think twice before they try calling me again, and this will be a never ending battle.

My son got a call from this number and we were not available. He kept him on the line, asked him if he wanted to play basketball and then asked him if he wanted to go on vacation. My son eventually hung up. Very strange and suspicious

Call ask for the boss by first name I ask who was calling and they hung up. Called the number back and you need an access code to complete the call.

I received a number of calls from this number on my cell. No message.   Thanks - I just put them in my spam folder.

The do not call list is a load of bs and a waste of time and money . they havent done a damn thing about these callers . i keep a list of numbers and thers one that calls 3 time a month for the past year . i filed a complainr a year ago and still get calls. the DNC group , if funded by the government , is a WASTE of taxpayer maoney

Theys ask me for my husband, and when I ask her from where she's calling ? just hand up.

I get a lot of phone calls from different states because I live in a military town and manage an apartment complex so I answer most calls that come through.

As soon as I answered with my business name and my name they hung up. It sounded like an old school corded telephone though when they hung up.

Nothing, no breathing, no talking ... Simply hung up.

Whatever! Comes with being in this business. Since I have the line established as a business line the Do Not Call Registry does not work for business lines. :(

These people call you while your still in bed early morning. I do not remember what they want or selling I hung up on them. I'm on the DNC list.

get calls all the time from this # I never answer it because why would someone from 940 be calling me... I had looked it up and saw all the related stories and they called back today, I anwered with a kind You have reached the sum sum sumer home this is Summer speaking how may I direct your call, They asked for me by name and I replied that they have called the Sum Sum Summer Home and this is Summer Speaking, They hung up! guess they didn't want to talk to Summer.. If they call back i am going to string them along for a while, If they ask for bank or any other info I am going to give them all kinds of wrong numbers after I keep them on the line while I go search for my wallet ;-)

Asked for someone by name, introduced herself, and said she was calling to offer to reinstate previously paid for vacations.   She said she would call back later.

Wow - I answered this call because I expect a few calls today from unknown numbers.  The person who was on the other end was very nice, polite, and friendly.  She asked for xxx.   When she learned that xxx was not available, she introduced herself (Jean Thompson) and said she was going to offer xxx (the person she asked for) to reinstate a vacation not used through her timeshare exchange company.  (The specific company was not mentioned.)

She asked when she could call back.

I don't know if it's a scam or not, but the number is now filed under "Wrong Number" on the phone.   What she said sounded true enough -- there have been a few prepaid vacations that we didn't take.

The company is called Direct Connect. I'm not sure exactly what they do but I was asked if I accept payment by credit card for my company. I don't so they ended the conversation.

940-222-0773 called. I answered and there was no one on the line and then it started ringing on the other end. I hung up and called back and got a rapid busy signal. We've been getting calls 4-5 times a day and if the answering machine picks up, they hang up.

Caller called did not say a word

I received a call and my caller ID said TEXAS. I did not answer the call as I did not know the number when my answering machine came on and asked for a message the voice was male and it said "huh" in a loud intimidating angry voice and then he hung up. I called the number back and it says it is no longer in service or has been disconnected how can that be 1 minute after the number just called my home. This was very frigtening as we are in a domestic violence situation and I am very careful about who knows how to contact us.

When I called the number back it said the number could not go through. They never leave a message. I'm so sick of getting these prank calls that I'm getting a phone that will block them!
