940-381-2084 keeps sending a fax signal to a private residence phone. Home line is on the national do not call list. How do you get them to stop. Very annoying.

Calls about four times a week. Sounds llike a fax, but fax won't connect. Return calls or faxes are always busy. Caller id says "alternate res".

This number is part of a VERY long list of #'s with a 940 area code, from Denton, TX. Been going on for months. Now, I am going to call Denton Co. Law enforcement along with their commissioner and constable.Here are their numbers. If enough of us call and complain maybe something will be done.

The County is making money from this business that is hassleling us.....now let them enforce all of our complaints of recieving hassling, unwanted calls to our phone lines, cell phones, fax machines.

This number is an automated dialer searchng for faxes.  If you wnat mess with them do the following.  Call the number 940-381-2084.  Dial several times until you get through.  You will hear the machine dialing over and over.  Leave your line open and the maching will dial over and over scanning for numbers not finding anything.  If enough people do this it will totally kill their process of obtaining fax numbers.  They appear to have two lines working from this number.  When I tie up both lines for hours it's a sure bet they wonder why they are not getting new numbers.  

Be sure to use an unlimited long distance line.  Tie up both lines by calling from work and leaving them open all night.  Dial over and over using the redial.  You will get through.  When you do connect you will hear the maching dialing and pausing.

This number, and other 940 and 817 numbers, have called our business lines multiple times.  No fax (sounds like a fax tone),no way to look them up or ask them to stop calling. Companies affiliated with these numbers are: Affordaphone Inc., Max-Tel Communications, Inc.  Filing a Junk Fax 1088 Form with the FCC and filing a complaint with the FTC, recommend you do so as well.  The more people who report this, the louder we are, the faster authorities may to something about it.
